Okko was taken into a fae realm after a previous life rendered her on the short end of the stick in a deal with some demi gods. She wandered in darkness for ages beyond ages as time is relative in such a place. Essentially, she has become like those of the Fae Realm, as even the greatest of them were once something like demi gods-- part human. Okko should have aged and died, but part of her curse in her deal so long ago was that she could not age. So she is a powerless creature in a powerful world.

She wasn't always so colorful. Once she may have even been human. But for as long as she can remember, she has lived in a world of darkness, with a sun of dark purple that bleeds fleetingly through black mist. Actual sun light, fire, any sort of light in general, was unobtainable. But she discovered bioluminescence in the ground, and so she rediscovered the hidden world around her, and made it her mission to give everything an identity by painting beautiful designs on them all. This particular realm is a dimension fold and exists primarily in a place that one can only go to if one has been there before. The world she knows as something like a home now has a great region of colorful things, it goes on a great distance, but ends on the borderlands of the Seelie and Unseelie Realms, which are not open to her. Eventually the nature of her entrapment ceased to be a mystery and she learned how to bend its crevices to travel great distances simply by turning a corner. At long last, she created a door and wandered her way into a world she'd forgotten. Ages spent in one world, she returned twenty years later, those that once knew her could not know her now. She'd been alone too long and learned the secrets of the Secret. The demigods could no longer touch her.
