Doni is the middle child of the three brothers. Not only does he play the trumpet, but he also provides vocals and choreography. He enjoys performing but is getting bored of the same old nightclubs.

Doni is notorious for his aloof expression and attitude. He isn't known to be very cordial or sugarcoat his feelings. Doni is mostly a restrained person but has a known habit of making mouthy remarks. He will do his best to make favorable first impressions but won't take kindly to contempt and will respond in kind. It also doesn't take much for him to get irritated, and his brother Zaft often has to remind him to keep his temper. Doni may appear mysterious and unapproachable to those who don't know him well, but maintaining mutual respect is enough to be on good terms with him. Despite his behavioral shortcomings, Doni is quite skilled as an entertainer, and his brothers value his aptitude. There can be a great person to work with behind that frowning face.
Backstory
Doni's earliest memory was that of his brand new younger brother returning from the hospital -- and he wasn't happy about it. He even demanded that Qallum be returned to wherever he came from or given to his grandmother. He eventually came to accept Qallum as his kin, occasionally teasing and attempting some authority over Qal as some older brothers do. Doni acquired his pugnacious nature from school experiences and equally combative peers. His classmates often enjoyed participating in regular jive sessions, and if Doni was ever the subject, he refused to take it lying down. He usually had something damning to say so kids would take heed not to make him a target. Influenced by his older brother choosing the trombone for band class, Doni would soon play the trumpet.
After finishing high school, he and his brothers got jobs working in their father's restaurant. Doni didn't like waiting tables much, but having the extra money from tips was nice. Unfortunately, he quit on the spot after losing his temper with rude customers. He was the first of the brothers to leave. He got a job as a bartender sometime afterward, but it too was short-lived as he hated dealing with bar customers even more. When Qallum suggested starting a jazz group, Doni was eager to begin. He could finally earn a living doing something fun; at the very least, he wouldn't have to deal with self-entitled customers.
Physicality
Doni's black hair is kept routinely trimmed due to regular visits to the barbershop. His hair is cut short with a neat puff above his forehead, and he has part cuts on both sides of his temples. On the back of his head are two stars shaved near his right ear. He has dark brown eyes, long eyelashes, and a gaze that could cut steel. He has full two-toned lips, warm dark skin, and a round nose. Physique-wise, Doni doesn't have much of an upper body, but he boasts a pair of lusty, powerful legs. Doni occasionally dresses more ornately than his brothers, even on casual days, and he is partial to wearing sleeve garters as he likes the look of them. He will compliment whatever his brothers are wearing and wear his signature long bow tie for performances (also a stage thing).

- Doni was first drawn in the summer of 2015 along with his brothers, Vesley, and Rhapsody.
- He was intended to be a trombonist.
- Doni used to be called Donimo in his early days. Donimo was already a nickname, but I shortened it, and it stuck.
- Doni and his brother Zaft were loosely inspired by Rock n' Roll pioneer and pianist Fats Domino. His name was based on the latter part, Domino.
- Doni's full name, Donimonix, is pronounced like this: Duh-nim-mah-nicks.
- There's a family folktale among the Brases as to why Doni can be so short-tempered and has an affinity for spicy foods. Their father would cook many spicy dishes while their mother was pregnant with him.
- Doni loves to roller skate, and he's masterful at it. It makes Qallum jealous.
