Rhapsody is a class-act gentleman, very calm and astute. He's eloquent in his presentation and observant of people and his surroundings. He is quite aware of his privileged background and doesn't judge people based on their social status, but he may snootily turn his nose up at things he disapproves of. Rhapsody is very cooperative with others, however he enjoys being alone most of the time. He can be a bit too reclusive and may turn down opportunities to try something new or exciting if it is slightly outside his comfort zone. He hates being the center of frivolous attention and tends to freeze up and get flustered if it happens. He may not want to admit it, but Rhapsody is quite bashful. But where he lacks socially, he makes up as a gifted musician. He hopes to have the fortitude to show it all off one day.
Backstory
Rhapsody is from Albany. He is the only child of a well-off owner of a necktie business and a high school English teacher. Young Rhapsody spent most of his free time playing his father's grand piano in the living room. Seeing how his son was captivated by the instrument, Rhapsody's father gave his little boy piano lessons. It wouldn't be long before the seeds of a budding musician were sewn in Rhapsody.
Though he was an only child, Rhapsody would acclimate to his father's large extended family, but he never quite saw eye-to-eye with his paternal grandparents. His grandparents were very wealthy entrepreneurs and often pressured their grandson into following their footsteps, as well as his father's. They wanted to maintain a lineage of successful businesspeople and never encouraged or acknowledged Rhapsody's musical passions. Time and time again, Rhapsody tried to impress his grandparents with his musical talents only to be humiliated by his wasted effort. He felt a sense of unease every time he engaged in conversation with them. He always had to choose his words carefully, hoping to avoid any mention of careers, which always seemed to cause tension in their interactions. Fortunately, Rhapsody had a single maternal grandmother he could lean on who encouraged his aspirations and actually treated him like a grandson.
When Rhapsody came of age, he told his father he intended to become a concert pianist and he never wanted to see his grandparents again so long as they held contempt for him and his career choice. His father was very understanding and advocated for Rhapsody to follow his dreams. As a gesture of his support, Rhapsody's father gifted his son the family grand piano he always played whenever he was ready to move out. After graduating college, Rhapsody soon set his career sights on Swingston Hall, which wasn't too far from his hometown.
Physicality
Rhapsody has short hair fashioned in a swirl above his forehead. His hair is slowly turning white, but the original rusty brown color still remains around his sideburns. His skin is sandy beige, he has deep blue eyes and a reddish narrow nose. He wears a black pair of vintage, bottomless glasses. Rhapsody is the tallest of the SSH cast. His shoulders and upper body are broad and taper into a narrow waist. He also has slightly well-defined muscles. One could see his chiseled form if it weren't for the smart attire he often wears. Speaking of clothes, Rhapsody is rarely seen in public without his blue sash top hat and a necktie. He is very particular about suits and tuxedos. His fashion sense has always been debonair, but at home, he prefers simple shirts and comfortable pants. He never wears jeans or anything denim.

- Rhapsody was created in the summer of 2015 along with the Brase Bros. and Vesley.
- He was inspired by George Gershwin, and his name is a pun on the Gershwin piece Rhapsody in Blue. Rhapsody in Blue is my favorite musical thing of all time, so he came to be my personification of that piece.
- Rhapsody originally had an older sister named Ari. She was an homage to Gershwin's brother Ira.
- Rhapsody is a third-generation American. His paternal grandparents are Russian, and his maternal grandmother is Italian.
- His father's surname was "Krishnov" until he had it legally changed to Bleu.
- The whitening of Rhapsody's hair is something he inherited from his father's side, specifically his grandparents.
- That top hat Rhapsody always wears was a gift from his Nonna for his 20th birthday.
- Rhapsody can do a pretty impressive Mid-Atlantic accent.
