Story
Chapter One
The story begins with Patrick happily making his way throughout the Cobbenburg Forest, that is until he encounters a beautiful butterfly. Almost entranced, he goes after the butterfly, which leads him to a swampy lake, and peering from the water is a mysterious horse-like creature who violently lunges at him! Patrick awakes in terror, realizing it was a horrible nightmare.
Chapter Two
As Patrick wakes up from his nightmare, he groggily gets himself out of bed and gets himself ready for the day. Out in the kitchen, his father and uncle await him, eager to get out for another day of training. This perks up Patrick instantly as he excitedly gets his gear ready for hunting!
Out in the Cobbenburg Forest, Patrick's father and uncle instruct him on where to safely hunt and how to work his crossbow. Thus, he is sent off into the woods to make a catch. Out of the corner of his eye, he spots the figure of a slick, pitch black rabbit creature, who grins at him with bright white, pointy teeth. Startled, Patrick runs away, tripping over a branch as he makes his escape. As he lays on the ground, a figure comes into view and stands over him, reaching out a friendly hand. He grabs the figure's hand, and finds himself infront of a young lady with the horn and bottom half of a unicorn with a Puca resting on her shoulder.
Chapter Three
The figure introduces herself as Ezra, and reintroduces Patrick to Puca! Patrick is still quite in shock, as he just made friends with two mythical creatures! He worries over his family not knowing where he is, and Ezra acknowledges it, helping him find his way out of the woods. As they walk, Ezra warns him of a dangerous Kelpie wandering through the woods, whisking away small animals and the stray villager quite often. This newfound information startles Patrick, but he doesn't have time to respond, as he is brought back to the town gates. There, Patrick's father and uncle scold him for getting lost and make their way home. Patrick looks around for his new friends, but finds they have disappeared back into the forest...
