It's my boy! Zebulon, more commonly known as Zebby!

Has that weird big eyeball on his stomach and back. That slit is usually closed, but will open to reveal a terrifying looking eye. This is used purely to intimidate, as he is blind in both of those eyes. In fact, if an eye were to be removed, it would not hurt him, nor does it function like any other animal's eye. It's essentially dead.

Zebby generally uses echolocation, his long tail (which is just a tiny bit taller than the rest of his body), and his powerful sense of smell (he smells through his tongue) to find his way around. He has strange, almost tarantula-like legs at the end of his tail, forming a horrifying hand of sorts that he uses to attack threats and cling to objects. The tips of these... legs? are very sharp.

Technically has fur, but it's so short it may as well be skin. Just a brief layer over the skin to protect it. The under part of his wings are just skin, though not quite a membrane like a bat's wing.

EDIT: Sounds like this when echolocating... or just bein' a little shit, tbh. (askabiologist.asu.edu/sites/de…)

Description

Write a description of the critter here! Be as brief or wordy as you want!

Spinosaurus is a semi-aquatic dinosaur that lived during the Late Creataceous period, known for its distinctive neural spines. It is one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs ever discovered, rivalling other large theropods such as Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus.

Behavior & Biology

Spinosaurus shares many physiological traits with modern crocodilians, suggesting that it spent a significant amount of time in shallow waters, particularly while hunting. It mainly fed on fish, though it also fed on land animals. There is debate amongst researchers as to whether it was bipedal or quadrupetal. Its lifespan and reproductive habits are unknown.

Habitat

Spinosaurus can be found in the following areas:

  • Mangrove forests
  • Tidal flats
