Profile

About:
E'Daine is an Elven Goddess reigning from the First Eon and once sat in a place of power in the Pantheon. With her hands, she once created wonderous views of the tallest mountains that shielded the elven folk to the mightiest of oaks that housed her people. She was loved and worshipped and was one of few Elven deities to bed their worshippers. But today, you would not find a shrine or statue honouring E'Daine that wasn't defaced or destroyed...

E'Daine disgraced herself and her brother, V'Rik, by allowing their forbidden feelings to grow and copulate - birthing the twins Ovr and Meik; Disease and Famine. It was an affair that threatened to break the Pantheon as V'Rik, as young as he was, had been paired with the Mother of Elven; Xelle. And it was Xelle that punished E'Daine for her actions; taking the arms that had held her brother so lovingly and banishing her to live the rest of her now mortal life on the material plane.

After E'Daine's banishment, Ovr and Meik were sentenced to death and killed before they reached their first birthday - the Elven folk use bastardised statues of the twins to ward off famine and disease.

Physical Description:
Pale skinned and fair of hair, E'Daine stands out from other Elvhen wandering the mortal plane. Her ears are longer and curved which is said to be the original elf ears (though, this is up for debate) and she lacks both arms.

Her eyes and lips are gold - not from makeup but from genetics. (She was golden and her brother, V'Rik, has copper eyes and lips with silver hair).

E'Daine has long hair that trails on the ground if not pulled up into intricate braids and styles. Without the use of her hands, E'Daine what little magic she has left to keep her hair tied up and out of the way.

History:
E'Daine and V'Rik had no birth parents. Rather than being born from a womb, they were born from mud and clay and given life by Xelle's light. Inspired by how they were made, E'Daine would go on to create things from mud; trees and mountains, hills and valleys. V'Rik, on the other hand, felt closer to the light that gave them life. He made fire and stars that would swim through the skies to befriend Xelle's moon that looked lonely. And while E'Daine shaped the mortal lands with her hands, V'Rik and Xelle grew close and before long entered a lifetime bond.

When the first elves were made and took shelter within E'Daine's oaks, she and many other Gods went to see them. She and a handful of other Gods even entertained themselves with the mortals, singing and dancing and sleeping with them. E'Daine was honoured and prayed to for her mountains and oaks and she thanked them with blessings.

It was when E'Daine returned to the Pantheon that she and her brother grew close once more after aeons of being apart. Yet their sibling relations seemed to have turned into something perverse and unnatural. Though born of mud and clay, they were still related by blood. And despite all, incest was not common nor accepted within the Pantheon. And so, they hid their relationship for as long as they could; stealing touches when possible and joining in the darkest corners of the universe where none could disturb them.
When E'Daine fell pregnant, it was assumed at first that it was a mortal's as her flings with them were known throughout the Pantheon. And though the preferred Sire were one of their own, they did not object to her keeping the unborn.

But their affair was eventually discovered when the twins were born.

Both sons, who looked far too much alike to both E'Daine and V'Rik to be anyone else's, told the Pantheon the disgrace E'Daine and V'Rik had brought to them. There was outrage and disgust; a call for punishment and blood.

It was Xelle who had to deal the punishment, and being too in love with V'Rik could not bring herself to punish him... And instead placed his punishment on E'Daine. Her immortality was cut short, her powers revoked and her arms removed. The arms that had created the mountains and trees - and held V'Rik in her bed. The last thing E'Daine saw before she was cast from the Pantheon to live the remainder of her life on the mortal plane was her two beautiful sons executed before the Pantheon.
