Flickermoth wants to do what’s right, just, and fair always, and this strong desire to always know the correct answer, as well as the lies he grew up with, have left him with crippling anxiety and self-doubt that builds up inside him, threatening to suffocate him. As a result, Flickermoth is prone to panic attacks. Not that anyone would know it. Only Phoenix is privy to his greatest secret. Flickermoth hides his condition well, concealed behind a veneer of faux confidence and poise.
Deep down he’s nervous and jittery, loath to take the spotlight or be the center of attention even while knowing that it is his destiny. Flickermoth just wanted to live like any other cat, turning his back on the grand fate Shepard promised him even as sighs materialized all around him. Why couldn’t the spirits just leave him alone? Didn’t they know it was over? There was no Shepard, no Lamb, no Ocean, no Flock. Only ValleyClan and Phoenix, but even that's gone now, and shouldn't he have seen it?
They tried to warn him. He's certain they did. Dreams of falling into darkness. Visions of faces he didn't recognize. Now he's *here*. Wherever here is.
