Story: Farren is a young Burmecian who grew up hearing the heroic tales of Freya Crescent and like many kids, wished to follow in her footsteps. Although he was forbidden by his mother to leave until he was 16, Farren practiced all he could with make-shift spears crudely made from twigs and sticks. Wishing for something better, he set about pestering the elders until he found a kind old man who helped him create his own spear from the mans old one. Finally, just after his 16th nameday, Farren set out into the world hoping for adventure.
His travels took him to the land of Eorzea which he found vastly different from what he was used to, in terms of environment and the citizens residing there. A kind stranger noticed his spear and pointed him in the direction of the Lancer's guild in Gridania, and so Farren signed up and started his journey anew.
History: Farren grew up in a small colony of Burmercians who were descended from refugees who survived the attacks on Burmecia and Cleyra. The colony lives on the outskirts of Alexandria in a run-down area. Despite this, the Burmecians often receive donations of food and clothing from the more affluent residents of Alexandria and so have found a good place to re-establish themselves.
Clothing: Farren is pictured in his basic outfit, but any basic clothing is suitable. He does not yet wear any form of armour. He will often keep his hood up, especially in areas that are more hostile to foreigners, or to protect against those who may refer to him as a 'beast man'.
Weapon: Farren's lance is made from cherry wood, leather, twine and the end of an old lance. He carries it on his back with a strap (not pictured in reference image).
