Philomena lived in a peaceful valley looked over by the goddesses of the seasons, Demeter and Persephone. One day, Persephone was kidnapped by the god of the Underworld, Hades, and was swept away. In grief, Demeter unleashed an eternal winter on the valley. The neverending frost decimated the valley.
Philomena and a group of the fey inhabitants of the valley have decided to make it their mission to travel to the Underworld, and rescue Persephone from Hades' clutches. She now travels the lands, looking for ways to enter the Underworld as a mortal, and increasing her strength.
