Merph was born out of a horny but loveless union between a kobold father and a velociraptor mother on a small island off the main coast of the continent. However, the island became corrupted from the overflow of evil coming from the mainland. The other dinosaurs grew feral and angry, and food became dangerous and scarce. Merph, escaped to the mainland in the hopes of finding a new life for himself, but quickly found out that items cost things, and that eating people was bad. He was caught by the local pest control and taken to jail where he met a strange and brooding group of people. In a stroke of luck, they managed to escape together with the help of a man nobody quite knew the intentions of at the time.

Merph learned to live with these scaleless friends, and they learned to live with him in turn. Without knowing common, his only form of communication was calling 'Merp!', so the party took to calling him Merph, and they went on to perform very evil acts. For Merph, it was simply a meal, morals not really coming into play except when his friends were threatened. Over the course of their adventures, he found that his mother had birthed many velociraptor half-breeds, some finding their way into the circus, others just living their lives. But Merph was hungry, and not even his family was off limits. He had his new family, with his friends now.
Eventually the party battled through a spider-infested forest to stumble across a castle they could call their own. Merph cook to cooking for the party quickly, spider meat sandwiches becoming his specialty. He would never say it, never could say it, but he loved his friends. They killed a lot of people, and set up rituals to hurt more, but they were his friends, and the only people not to look at him and be disgusted.

They fought all the way to what they believed to be the source of all this, but the universe had different plans as it turned out this whole timeline was collapsing in on itself. Merph wasn't ever meant to exist, and the multiverse had finally realised that.

And so, he simply ceased.
