Appearance

Aoife stands at 165 cm which is average for a girl her age. Due to her upbringing in a family that mostly consists of bodyguards she has a fairly toned body. Despite her training keeping her outdoors she has a light beige complexion. This is in due fact she sunburns easily and can’t for the life of her get a tan. Her go to hair style for her auburn hair is twintails with a thin braid stopped by a hair tie piece at the end. Her faded light green eyes are paired with her work outfit. Dark green jacket, reddish purple tie, light green shirt, brown pants and black boots. Underneath the jacket is a dark green vest. During the time she is employed with Julius she wears the black ribbon with the green brooch more often than the neck tie. It was a gift from him on her birthday and this was the first gift she ever got. During warmer days she will wear brown shorts with black tights underneath.

Personality

Aoife has different aspects about herself depending on who she interacts with. For starters strangers or acquaintances she's generally nice and polite towards them. There are instances where strangers give her a feeling of danger. Even then she keeps a polite appearance. Better to play the game of wait and see while keeping your guard up. Then to let them know she doesn’t trust them. This is always because her instincts tell her this stranger is not to be trusted. The only time she may come off rude or unapproachable will be meeting someone that resembles her and shows all the aspects about herself she dislikes. It causes a knee jerk reaction that's irrational. For friends she is not only nice but looks out for their wellbeing. Is also comfortable enough to make jokes or puns. She has a positive outlook out of necessity. She’s not overly positive as that would cause people to feel off. She’s positive because it keeps people from being overly concerned with her. Though there is something she can’t stand to do. She hates dealing with bothersome things that don’t benefit her in any shape or form. For instance if she encounters someone that hates her. She will make some form of acknowledgement however small but won’t go any further. As it is a waste of her time trying to form a bond with someone that hates her. She won’t even say she hates them back as that requires that she acknowledges their existence which she doesn’t. She recognizes its cold but reasons that's just how she is. However if a situation presents itself where she has to set aside those feelings she will. Better to be done with the situation faster than to be stuck with someone that hates her.

She’s level headed enough that she makes a fun conversation partner but will at the most random of times say some kind of nonsense with a serious face. The listener just has to smile and nod if or when she does that. Like anyone she has a limit to her patience. It's not often this will happen but to those who get caught in it say they rather not deal with it ever again. One example of her losing patience was when she was first introduced to the newly formed Team Excalibur. Wales was rather rude to her. She corrected his rudeness with a two hour lecture while standing and didn't let him sit until she was done.

Trivia

She is good with her hands. Often offers massages to team Excalibur especially to Julius Caesar. She offers two courses 'Heaven on Earth' or 'Will be feeling sore the next day but refreshed'

Her birthday is actaully two days after the historical Julius Caesar's death date.

History

Childhood

Not much is known about Aoife from the day she was born to four years old. Only a select few know about Aoife’s true origins. Originally she was from the Walch family. Why is her last name listed as Laverty? When she was four years old she displayed characteristics from those of the Laverty. The Walch are a family with quick wit and sharp tongues. While the Laverty are a family known for their brute strength and swift assassins. The fact that Aoife displayed characteristics from both families was a sign of ruin. Mainly because throughout the generation of both the Laverty and Walch those born like Aoife are doomed to become monsters. The change is comparable to how strong they are. The stronger the person is the faster they become an unfeeling monster that lives to kill humans. That is the price the person pays for their strength. There is a silver lining to this tragedy. Not every generation is affected but at random and as the generations goes further down the line the gap becomes wider. Even so, anyone born with these shared characteristics their fate is sealed. Death. Death is their ONLY salvation.

The head of the Walch met with the head of the Laverty in secret. Both had decided to swap Aoife and Fiadh from their respective families. The idea was for them to experience life from a different perspective. Of course this was a lie. The true idea behind it was for Aoife to bond with someone from the Laverty household. Even if she becomes a monster there might be a window of opportunity to strike her out. Once she was officially in her new home she was told to never mention where she originally was. Awnan Laverty the Head of the Laverty who is also her ‘uncle’ reasoned it would only add confusion and better be left unsaid. She understood and kept it a guarded secret. Not long after she had settled into her new home, Awnan took her to an orphanage. She mistakenly thought this was a test. To show these kids how great it is to live as a bodyguard. As a Laverty. She did this all while pretending she was one. What she didn’t account for was the bombardment of questions. A kid who was about two years older than her told the kids to knock it off. From then on she grew attached to the boy. Went as far as to call him nii-san (JP dub) or deartháir (Eng dub) even though nothing was set in stone. At least to Shay anyways. Unexpectedly he was adopted the next day.

Aoife couldn’t be any more happier. After all, she now had a friend who was an outsider like her. Life at the Laverty’s went as expected. Everyday consisted of training. As her training progressed she naturally selected a katana as her weapon of choice. She wasn’t alone when she trained. Shay was with her. They grew close almost to the point they acted like actual siblings. It wasn’t just Shay she grew a bond with. Fiadh, the girl who she was swapped with, would often visit. She tagged along with her “father” who discussed business dealings with the Laverty. Aoife, Shay and Fiadh all three of them would run off to the meadows into the forest and hang out. One of their adventures they encountered an old broken down house. They joked about a future where they all lived together in a house of their own. Even created a song about it, to the tune of “London Bridge is falling down”. On top of the many adventures Shay taught her herbology who gained an interest in it.

As far her relationship with her parents went her father wasn’t all that involved with her. She didn’t mind it however. She was a lot closer to her Uncle. He was the one who personally trained her along with Shay. Her “mother” on the other hand didn’t quite act like a mother and more of an older friend. Again Aoife didn’t mind it. She wasn’t their actual daughter. The situation placed them all in an awkward place. She was grateful however of her “mother’s” genuine attempt.

As the years went by she noticed a difference between herself and her peers. She was more quick witted then them and possessed strength that can only be described as monstrous. This alienated her from the rest of her peers. She was still a cheery girl despite it all. Though she would be lying to herself that it didn’t sting. At the least she had Shay to turn to and Fiadh as well. No matter how freakishly strong she was, these two stuck by her. Weirdly enough Shay was nearly on the same level with Aoife but he was able to fit in with his adoptive family. In fact he was beloved more than she was. She would never admit it but she was envious of Shay. While they praised and loved Shay. Those same eyes would change to unease. It wasn’t like she caused trouble or anything. It was her nature that caused their unease. Something about her was just unsettling. She tried to keep her strength in check but would often lose herself in a fight and go all out.

School was a joke. Many people tried to befriend her with ulterior motives. She had more superficial friends than she could count on her hand. That was fine with her. So long as no one tried to take Shay or Fiadh she didn’t care. She disliked but at the same time relished at the dirty looks she got from the girls whenever she talked to Shay. She tried to attend school without attracting attention, but that failed on day one. So she threw caution to the wind and joined the fencing club. She easily rose up in the ranks as the strongest member in the fencing club. “Richie” as she nicknamed as she couldn’t be bothered to remember his name did not like he was second to her. Made numerous attempts to make her quit the club. Each attempt failed. Finally he decided to gang up on her to rough her up a bit. Instead he was roughed up. Broken nose and a black eye was the proof. His parents nearly pressed charges. They backed off as soon as her Uncle arrived and swept the whole affair under the rug.

Aoife thought this would be the end of it all. Boy did she think wrong. A rumor started going around that she was a monster and probably killed some people. The one who started these rumors was none other than “Richie”. Her “friends” left when the rumors spread. It wasn’t much of a loss to her. She didn’t consider them her friends in the first place.

Some time later the fencing club had nominated her to represent her club for an annual tournament. She held no interest in it and handed the honor to “Richie”. He was after all the clubs second best. Albeit due to the fact that he drove those who were better than him out of the club. Aoife being the exception. She continued her life and activities as if nothing happened. The other members however buzzed about the outcome of the fencing tournament. The strange part was the name of the guy who won the tournament. Julius Caesar. It was a name she couldn’t at all take seriously. Who names their kid after a dead Roman dictator? It was so strange in fact later that day she read up on the historical records of Julius Caesar and maybe did some poking around the kid named after the Roman Emperor.

Several months passed and “Richie”’s antics just continued. He never took a direct approach with his harassment towards her. It was always passive-aggressive. She had hoped after suffering a broken nose, black eye and a battered pride he would just leave her alone. Though lately his actions seem to take a different approach. If she didn’t know any better she may have become his next target. He was known for his massive superiority complex but also known for being a womanizer. Once he sets his sights on a girl he does everything to get the girl to fall for him. However once she falls he loses interests and dumps them. Seems to be after failing multiple times he changed his approach to get her to fall for him. She only found this to be unpleasant.

Two years before Metal fight beyblade / Beyblade Metal fusion

It was around this time when a white limousine appeared before her school. Who should come out was none other than Julius Caesar. He came specifically for Aoife. Due to “Richie”’s careless comment Julius did not feel like he stood at the top of fencing. With the knowledge Aoife was far stronger than “Richie”. He demanded a match with Aoife. She at first refused. She reasoned school was going to start and didn’t want to deal with a bothersome match. Julius didn’t take no for an answer and proceeded to get a rise out of her. He at first insulted her and when that didn’t work he insulted her family. He was not prepared for the immediate reaction he got from her. She ignored the guards around him and rushed over to him. Grabbed him by the collar and just said, “After school. You. Me. Laverty Estate.” Then she let him go. Before the guards could apprehend her she was already out of their reach. He told the guards to let her be. He got what he came for and proceeded to wait for her at her estate.

Before the bell rang for classes to officially start she made a call to her Uncle using the school’s office phone. She explained the extreme short notice of the match she accepted. The Uncle expressed his exasperation. When he heard who had challenged her his tone softened to a nostalgic tone. Before he ended the call he gave Aoife a stern warning that this was the only time he would allow this. She noted the warning and promised him she would not do this again.

By the time she returned home her estate was buzzing with activity. She almost regretted accepting the challenge but she didn’t want to back out what she started. Nothing more annoys her than anybody not taking responsibility for their actions. That also applied to her as well. The match was a simple best two out of three rounds. Dominated. That was the only way to describe how this match went for Julius. The burning sensation of humiliation ran rampant. No witnesses made this situation less painful. She barked at anyone that tried to sneak a peek. With the match over however she on a whim walked over to him and squatted to his level. His reaction to the loss intrigued her and just had to ask why. For a while he remained silent, contemplating whether to answer her or not. If he stalled long enough she would tire and leave him be. He underestimated her resilience and she remained there waiting for an answer. A sigh. He gave his answer. His answer just seemed too trivial but decided to humor it. She told him he already stood at the top. He lifted his head in surprise and stared at her. Before he could retort she stopped him. She explained to him even if he was a perfect human, a human could never defeat a monster. No matter how perfect you are, the dynamic between human and monster remains. So he didn’t need to be so hard on himself. He’s already at his best.

He wasn’t sure he liked that she made an attempt to console him. Besides that however the way she moved so effortlessly despite how restricting fencing was. He thought having someone like her at his side would be far better than her being an obstacle for him to face. He stood up with a goal in mind and offered her a job. This time it was her turn to be surprised and slightly mortified. Did he not just listen to what she said?! She once again refused vehemently so, but Julius wasn’t going to budge what he decided. Both of them ended up arguing their points were not budging. It wasn’t until her Uncle came into the scene did the argument stop. He only came because neither of them walked out of the building they had their match in. He listened to Julius’s proposal. Aoife chimed in with her refusal and believed he would not agree to this. Awnan thought about the offer and mulled over it. He didn’t want to take chances should Aoife turn while he was miles away. He also thought Aoife was miserable where her life was. Then an old memory creeped up where he joked with an old friend how funny it would be if their kids ended up being friends. With that in mind he ultimately accepted the offer. She was too shocked to react at first but quickly regained her composure and protested his decision. He told her his decision was final and ended the conversation there as he needed to make preparations.

She was resistant from day one all the way until she arrived at the Caesar mansion. After she had a conversion with Julius’s father Theodore Caesar her Uncle’s betrayal stung less. She was still upset with him. Another surprise hit her. She was introduced to Nero Caesar who unlike his older brother made a wonderful first impression. They became good friends pretty quick. For someone who never lived in a mansion before she adapted quickly. Naturally as she spent her days as Julius’s bodyguard she got used to his mannerism but she still scolded him if he was ever rude to her. Friendship really began when Aoife tricked him into giving her piano lessons. It was during those piano lessons that they started to converse a lot more openly. As they conversed more the more they got comfortable with each other. It got to a point where they teased one another and cracked dumb jokes.

There was once a big ball that she attended. It was a gathering of big name sponsors. Basically it was an almost casual way to make business dealings. Throughout the entirety of her standing guard she found herself looking for anyone she may recognize from her true family. Several times during her post she was asked for a dance but declined each time. It was here where she encountered a life threatening situation. When she left her post for her turn to make rounds she had walked in a gentleman preparing a bomb. Thankfully before she had walked in on this person she phoned over the radio she was checking out a suspicious room and what coordinates she was in and heading to. She surprised herself with how calm she was as she distracted the gentleman. The incident ended with no casualty. The party of course had to end early and everyone was sent home after everything settled.

The car ride home was tense. The way she just stared at the window caused some concern. Julius tried to engage in small talk but she remained unengaged. Once home he didn’t give her the chance to get away. Led her over to a lighted garden and inside a large Gazebo. She protested the entire time. She relented when he told her he was going to teach her how to dance. She did warn him she was going to step on his foot. Then that was a risk he was willing to take if it got her to smile a little bit. By the end of it both of them stepped on each other's feet and also were sore. As promised both of them were smiling and laughing after a small argument on who stepped on who first. He was the first to let her go and said “it's late, let's go inside.” She agreed and closely followed after him. That night something changed for her. Julius was no longer some rich guy who she was forced to guard. No. For the first time she wanted to protect him. Make sure ABSOLUTELY no harm came to him. She wanted to see his goals come into fruition and give her full support to him. Even if it meant she had to store away these budding feelings she had for him.

Both of them witnessed the broadcasting of the Battle Bladers tournament in Japan. By this time Julius already set his sights on claiming the top spot in beyblade. He had her full support this time around.

Metal fight beyblade Baku / Beyblade Metal Master

Aoife was formally introduced to Team Excalibur. She got along well with the other team members. Though she refrained from commenting on the team name, however she did roll her eyes. Julius saw this and both of them snarked at each other. It didn’t take long for Sophie, Wales and George to notice just how close Aoife and Julius were. They didn’t have solid evidence but they suspected Aoife had a crush on Julius and possibly vice versa. During the first few rounds of the Big Bang Bladers tournament she accompanied him everywhere.

Several days before the Warrior Festival began Sophie and Wales asked her if she had any interests in beyblade. As much as she had fun watching the matches she couldn't garner any interest. She was content with watching and giving her support from the sidelines.

The day of the Warrior Festival something felt off. She couldn't place what was off but it felt like the calm before the storm. Because of this she was on her guard more than usual. Julius noticed and asked what was wrong? She wasn't sure but she felt anxious enough that she was on edge. He reassured her everything was fine. He thought maybe the constant traveling was wearing her out. She vehemently protested that shouldn't be the case. He was taken aback by her reaction and told her he was joking. She just sighed and felt a little bad. He was trying to lift the mood. He again reassured her and besides he trusted her to come to his aid should anything happen. That got her to smile. He did love it when she smiled. She did her best to keep her anxiety from showing. Her mood improved a little when Team Gan Gan Galaxy had eavesdropped on the Warrior Festival and was promptly found out. The Warrior Festival resumed after Ginga, Masamune and Yuu were soundly defeated by Sophie and Wales combined special move. That's when the receptionist who told Team Gan Gan Galaxy they couldn’t watch the Warrior Festival made a suspicious move. She threw darts where Julius Caesar stood. Aoife reacted quick enough she used her arms as a shield and thwart the assassination attempt. The woman tried to flee but Aoife closed the distance between them by half. The woman got far as the entrance of the building before Aoife caught her and pinned her down.

It was a long night after that with Law enforcement. It wasn’t until two hours later they were allowed to go back to their hotel rooms. By that time the poison had already taken effect on her. She was able to play it cool so that no one worried. That night she was in utter agony. Her only saving grace was the type of poison used she built a partial resistance to. Even so she cursed her carelessness and should have got treatment.

Morning came and went. Sophie and Wales wondered what was wrong. Aoife normally was the first to be at the lobby waiting for them and Julius. Before either of them could suggest calling her Julius already was on his way to her hotel room. Both of them decided to wait for them. It was obvious by how frantic he was that he also liked her too. Julius thought back to what happened yesterday. There was no way those darts weren’t laced with poison. She always had a terrible habit of downplaying her injuries. When he suggested she should have her arm looked at she said she was fine. He knocked at her door loud enough. He waited a few seconds for an answer but didn’t get any he feared the worst. He was thankful they had each other's room keys on top of their own. Threw the door open only to be greeted with an unexpected sight. There she sat on her bed half awake. Her hair disheveled and her unbuttoned pajama shirt. It loosely sat on her shoulder. Exposed her upper body. Absent-mindedly she told him to give her five more minutes. He quickly but quietly withdrew out of her room. He couldn’t think straight, heart was racing and his face and ears burned. He wasn’t sure if he could look her in the eye after this.

A few days after that event she noticed how he wouldn’t look at her when she spoke to him or when he spoke to her. It was beginning to irritate her. Beneath that irritation though was worry that she did something wrong. He promised her on days where he had free time he would give her short piano lessons. He already skipped out on several lesson days. This time around however she thought enough was enough. She caught him while enjoying afternoon tea. Told the maids she wanted privacy as she needed to discuss with Julius privately. She asked if they could talk. He knew what it was she wanted to talk about but he wasn’t at all prepared to tell her. With no way to escape this situation he relented. Normally she wouldn’t hesitate to sit right next to him. This time around she sat down leaving enough of a gap for another person to sit. She asked him why he was avoiding her. Added if she did something she wanted to know this silent treatment gave her doubts about how she went about her job. With a sigh he prepared for the worst for the second time and explained his avoidance. Thankfully her immediate reaction wasn’t to throw anything that she could get her hands on at him. That was his worry. She teased him that he was worrying for nothing.

Then said to forget about that and asked to give her an accurate description of what he saw. As she inched ever so closely to him. He just stuttered, unable to compose himself. She didn’t give him a chance to respond as she pressed herself against him. Then whispered the next part into his ear. Or did he want to rest his head on her soft body. If this was her teasing him she was taking it too far. Without warning he turned to face her and tackled her down on the couch. He laid on top of her and kept his face between her chest. They were soft. He dare not look up. Any second now she would shove him off. Instead he felt her arms wrapped around him. He looked up at her. She guessed this confirms what the other knew but tried to deny. They stayed that way a while longer. As they did they talked about how they should go about their relationship. She thought it was best for them both in the eyes of the public they remain as they are. He was a little sad. But that was in the eyes of the public. Within their own home they could be whatever they wanted.

From then on they were obvious about their feelings towards each other. The maids would find them cuddled up in some dark corner. The maids said nothing and went about their duties. They even had dumb lover’s quarrel. The quarrel was never serious enough for them to stay mad at each other for long.

It was as if the world laughed at her “Did you really think this wonderful happy time would last.” It was raining when she got a call from her Uncle. He asked her how she was faring. She hadn’t heard from him in a month or so. It was so rare of him to call her. Normally she was the one that called once a week or two weeks. She told him everything was the usual thing. Consciously left out she and Julius were more than just friends now. Asked how he was faring but also why did he call her? After a sigh he asked if she had seen or heard Shay recently. Her heart raced with anxiety. It's been 3 months since she heard from him. She of course kept in contact but he hadn’t answered her calls. Something was wrong and she had to know if Shay was alright or not. She urged him to tell her. Another sigh. He found out that one of his cousins was dead. He believed Shay was responsible.

The gears switched so quickly. Fury replaced anxiety. There was no way someone like Shay would do such a thing. Instead of listening to what he had to say she demanded who was the likely next target. He told her who. Without another word she ended the call. Now she knew what she was about to do was stupid. It wasn’t that long ago an assassination attempt happened. If she hadn’t been there this family would be preparing a funeral. But Shay was HER family. She wasn’t going to stand around and allow some nobody to defame her brother. She explained her situation to Julius. Who was reluctant to let her go. He ultimately gave her permission to leave. Not before pulling her into a hug. Right in front of Sophie and Wales. Yeah it was only a matter of time they found out about them. He demanded she return safe and alive. She promised him she will and left that same day.

She arrived at her other Uncle’s home. His surprise of her arrival was expected and even tried to turn her away. However she wasn’t going to take no for an answer. She needed to punish who was framing her brother. The Uncle stopped and stared at her. He almost looked apologetic but Aoife didn’t concern herself with that. Night rolled in and she stood guard at one of the windows behind the house. Instead of the back door she heard someone come in from the front door. Whoever they were, they were bold to come in from the front. She went rigid. It was Shay. She asked him if he was here to help find the culprit who was framing him. He dashed those expectations mercilessly. He ignored her and asked the Uncle if he knew why he was here. The other Uncle remained silent. Shay figured it was because Aoife was here. He didn’t want her to know the awful truth. After a long struggle Shay eventually slain the other Uncle. She did try to stop Shay but she wasn’t helpful. The smell of blood hung heavy in the air. She stared at the dead body and slowly she felt her consciousness slip away. Shay stood a little ways from her and knew he had to explain what he was doing but before he could she lunged at him. He was barely able to parry her strikes. This Aoife was different from a few minutes ago. No. Different altogether.

Mock fights between them when they were young was just a simple show of skills. With so many mock fights he knew her strike patterns. However now her strike patterns were different and held the weight of carnage behind it. She never had that weight before. Now it was Shay’s turn to be confused. However this confusion would have cost him his life. He miscalculated where she would strike and barely moved away to dodge. He didn’t have any time to react as her sword was mere inches from him. From the side down a different hallway came her Uncle, Shay’s adoptive father. He body-slammed her hard enough to stun her. Gave him time to knock her unconscious.

After they caught their breath Shay demanded Awnan to tell him what the hell was that with Aoife. This was his first time speaking to Awnan ever since he made his choice on taking revenge. He told Shay they will have their talk but before that they needed to clean up and tie Aoife should she wake up again and was still feral. Shay was resistant throughout the clean up process and even protested against tying Aoife up. Needless to say the clean up would have been done faster if Shay did as told. By the time everything was taken care of it was sunrise. Awnan carried the now tied up unconscious Aoife to his car and motioned for Shay to come as well. The idea of being in the same enclosed space with his adoptive father repulsed him. But this was his only chance to get answers. At least Aoife’s company brought some comfort even if hours ago she tried to kill him. He had a feeling that too will be explained.

Aoife came to and heard a sigh of relief. She realized she was tied up and demanded they untie her. Shay was the first to do so. As Shay undo her restraint Awnan asked her if she remembered anything after Shay killed her other Uncle. Her confidence evaporated after she declared of course she does. Try as she might, she couldn’t remember anything. Shay told Awnan to knock it off, it was obvious why she attacked him. He made her witness a murder. Of course she would strike at him. Unfortunately for Shay this only made Aoife’s situation even worse. The very notion that she would even try to bring harm to her brother made her panic. The panic came from the fact that she had no idea why she would attack Shay. Without hearing his side of things and just out of the blue attack him, wasn’t WHO SHE IS.

Awnan continued without paying any heed to her current state. Reiterated what Shay said but didn’t mince his words. Told her she wasn’t trying to, she was going to kill Shay had he not stepped in. Now it was Shay’s turn to be rattled. But if Shay was rattled then Aoife was even more rattled by these revelations. Unable to make sense of any of Shay blurted out what he found out and kept secret for 6 months. What does this have anything to do why his family was murdered by him and several other members of the Laverty?! Would you think after bombshell after bombshell of surprises she would be numb to it all? This other bombshell just surprised her too and almost made her forget her dire situations. Almost. Before the situation got out of hand Awnan silenced both of them and told them to listen. Just listen. Listen to the end. Both wanted to voice their concerns but Awnan added how the hell were they going to get anywhere if they don’t listen to the bitter end. So they did bitterly. By the end of the explanation both of them were silent. Still processing what they just heard. Shay was the first to leave. Didn’t even look back. She dare not look up either. To think it was because of her he was here. She asked again and knew his answer would remain the same but she wasn’t able to accept it.

He reiterated what he just said. He knew this must be an extremely hard truth for her to swallow so he set aside the annoyance of needing to tell her again. After all, the implications of her situation meant she had to die. Not this instant but soon. Or else she will become a monster. The idea she might kill her dear friends had her shiver. In disgust. In fear. And most of all bitterness. She and Julius only just started to be more open with each other. And now this, it had to be a bad joke. But it was no joke. Just utter resignation. Subconsciously she must have known. She had no goals to speak of. She even kept her interactions with people at a certain level that never went beyond acquaintances. Minus Team Excalibur. They were the only ones to break through. No, that’s not right. It's because they treated her like a person and got to know her. She wasn’t a means to an end but a person. Awnan suggested she head back to Julius and spend whatever time she had left with him and his teammates.

She almost considered it but she wasn’t sure how she was supposed to face them. She guessed she could pretend. So long as she didn’t make it obvious she was hiding something they wouldn’t be none the wiser. With an idea how to compose herself she told her Uncle she was going back home. She stopped mid-step. The realization hit that the Caesar estate had become her home. Now who knows how long that would last.

Upon her return she was greeted by the butler who warned her they were deep in their training. That was fine with her. Quietly she made her return known. Handed them a towel or a drink. When it clicked she was back they took a brief break to welcome her back. They wanted to ask if she resolved her problem. Before they even had a chance to ask she reminded them shouldn’t they be training? With realization they apologized to her and went back to training. She reassured them it was all fine. And briefly mentioned that whatever issue she had was resolved. Of course this was a lie. She surprised herself with how easily pretended things with her family were resolved. It probably helped that they were deeply focused on their training. She did catch on the internet Excalibur lost to Gan Gan Galaxy. For some reason even though her situation was extremely bleak she just couldn’t keep herself from smiling. Just being with them lifted her mood. She watched and gave her support and they graciously accepted it.

Julius didn’t spend as much time with her as she liked but she understood and took whatever time they could spend, be it set ups for challenges or offering a towel. Yet, at the back of her mind she could feel a gnawing feeling. Like a beast stirring in the deep recess of her psyche. It was faint enough to ignore but she feared it all the same. Despite it all she kept up a brave front.

The day of the semifinal matches approached fast. At the waiting room she gave her encouragement. Before they left Julius told her she was allowed to join them on the sidelines to watch. He need not say his reasoning as it was obvious at this point. She gladly joined them.

To say Starbreaker defeated Excalibur was putting it lightly. No, it was a one-sided slaughter. To make it worse Damian humiliated Julius. Sophie and Wales stepped in before she could and was more than glad they did. She wasn't sure if she could keep herself from causing mayhem. With their intervention Excalibur was disqualified. The gnawing sensation returned this time far more stronger than ever. As she looked upon Damian. Never had she felt a strong impulse to kIlL. She forcefully quelled her anger. Got up from her seat. Without so much as a word to Damian who taunted her too. It was easy to ignore him. As she squatted right beside him and asked if he could stand. She thought back to how they first met. The situation was similar. She too soundly defeated him but unlike Damian she was merciful. Saw no point in dominating others. Julius took a hold of the hand she offered and she led him back to the waiting room with Sophie and Wales following behind. Once inside however he asked Aoife and the others to leave him be for a while. With a sad, forced smile she complied. Her previous anger returned once she was out of the room. Without a word to Sophie and Wales she stormed off. They tried to stop her thinking she was going after Damian. But she told them she just needed to walk off her anger. She won’t do something so rash as attack Starbreaker. As much as she wanted to, it would only serve to make the situation worse.

They let her go and she stormed away. Unfortunately for her though she couldn’t quell her anger. As soon as she turned a corner where it was devoid of people she punched the wall in front of her. It hurt. But even that didn’t do anything. She flinched when she heard a familiar voice. “Look at you. You can’t contain your bloodlust. I have no idea why the old man thought it was a good idea for you to return to them.” She saw Shay standing there not far from her with an unreadable expression. They stood in silence until she finally broke the silence. "Are you here to __ me?" Shay flinched. Without another word he turned and left. She wondered why he was here in the first place. To her amazement. The bloodlust she felt had left her. In its place was guilt. She thought it was a good idea to head back. Now that she calmed down. Upon her return they were outside still. Before she could say anything. Julius had told them to head back without him. She turned her head to look at the door. Apprehensive. Sophie and Wales had to drag her out. She didn’t at all resist but couldn’t at all bring any strength into her legs to move. A foreboding feeling that if she left here something might happen. Terrible.

Once at the hotel she went straight to bed. Mentally she was exhausted. Her bloodlust took much more of her strength. Sleep took over. The next day was something Aoife herself wished had never come. Her phone informed her that Julius had left a voicemail. She set aside the tug of worry when she listened to the voicemail. She wished she never had. He decided to end her contract early. Believed she deserved someone far better than him. She remained there unable to move. Now she understood why her feet refused to move yesterday. Yet, the world continues on and brings her out of her dejection. A voice calls out from the other side of the door. A familiar nostalgic voice. Fiahd. Her older sister. She answered the door and let her sister in. They talked for a bit until Fiadh asked her if she was okay. Emotions spilled out before Aoife even knew what she was doing. Fiadh comforted her emotionally tormented sister. She knew what Aoife was going through and decided to pop up unexpectedly to give the poor girl to pour out her heart.

Aoife felt a flare of anger come from Fiahd. For the time being she ignored it as she was just exhausted. She figured Fiadh was angry at Julius for making her cry. However she couldn’t have predicted just how far Fiadh would take this anger. For the time being she stayed cuddled up to her big sister and played catch up what they were doing in the two years they were away. The times her sister was away she ignored Sophie, Wales and Geroge’s calls be it from her phone or outside of her door. She had a feeling they even had a run in with Fiadh who flatly told them Aoife did not want to see them. She was glad Fiadh made no mention of these whenever she came back with meals for two. Out of pure boredom she turned on the TV only to be greeted with the party for the winning team for the Big Bang tournament. Her hands twitched when she saw Julius there with Ziggurat. But he didn’t seem like himself. Just watching was painful. Right then Fiadh walked in and saw Aoife being miserable. “I see it's painful. Then I will get rid of the cause of your misery.” When she heard that she jumped out of her bed and grabbed Fiadh by her arms. Asked what she meant by getting rid of Julius. “Exactly what I mean. If he’s the source then all I have to do is __ him.” She shook Aoife off of her and walked out with a sinister plan.

Her mind was racing. Trying to make sense of the situation. Fiadh was a bit protective but wasn’t someone who would go this far for her. With no other option she ran after her sister. Problem was she had no idea where her sister was headed to until she bumped into team Excalibur. Honestly the worst timing ever. They tried to hound her for answers of why she had ignored them but said she didn’t have time for that. She needed to stop her senpai or else someone going to get murdered. She was never this frantic before that team Excalibur was taken aback. Before they let her go they told her they were headed towards Ziggurat’s headquarters ‘Hades City’ to bring Julius. They hoped that if she resolved her issue quick enough she was more than welcome to come with them to knock some sense into their leader. For the first time in a few days she cracked a smile. They had no idea how helpful they were.

As she made her way to Hades City Shay stopped her. They had a short conversation about what was happening to Fiadh. The reveal of her extreme action was because of him. At the time he formulated his revenge. He planned to make Aoife suffer. What better way than to have her fight her sister who was under a drug that robbed her common sense and sanity. Even better now that her sanity was robbed she got into her head that Julius Caesar was the one who was the source of Aoife’s misery. Just listening was so hard to bear she grind her teeth so hard she felt they would break. But then the truth of why and Aoife’s fate was revealed to him he got confused about everything but even so still went through up until he saw her cry. Before she could punch him he held up something right into her face. It was a syringe that carried an antidote to the drug he used on Fiadh. She took the syringe but promised she would come back to give him an asskicking he deserved. He handed her weapons.

Even though she ran at top speed managing to evade many of the canon fodder that got in her way she was barely able to make it to Hades City. Thankfully she took a route that was a little ways away from Excalibur and the others. She was far too embarrassed to be near them right now. Not to mention she didn’t want to drag them into her problems. Right now she needed to find her sister and stop her.

She sighed in relief when she decided to let the group go on ahead. There she saw Julius. With no time to waste she took a route that went on the back side of the tower. She watched as he fought against Sophie and Wales and defeated them. It was painful to witness but she kept her ears peeled for signs of Fiadh. She even honed her senses to sense any hint of bloodlust. With Fiadh’s state as she is there was no way she wouldn’t emit it. Still no sign of Fiadh and now Da Xiang challenged Julius. She listened to their conversation as they battled. When he was sent flying onto his back it took everything in herself to not rush to his side. She was relieved when he regained his confidence. She felt a chill in the air. Without wasting any time she charged out of her hiding spot and blocked a strike meant to kill Julius. She ignored the surprise from him and shoved Fiadh back. The look of bewilderment on Fiadh was something she expected. They bickered. She then challenged Fiadh to a one on one duel. If Fiadh won she could go on with her goal, but if she won wanted Fiadh to back off from her goal. This was mostly like the toughest fight she fought. Fiadh was naturally a Laverty where fighting was in her blood. Her monstrous strength simply didn't give her the advantage. One thing she was certain of was that Fiadh must have trained rather in secret or not she had no idea. Just when she thought she got an upper hand in the fight Fiadh used some technique that incapacitated her. She was writhing on the ground. Getting up proved difficult and breathing was hard. Fiadh literally knocked the wind out of her. If her aim was simply to knock her sister out this wouldn’t be a problem. The plan was for her to get close enough to stick the syringe. She reasoned knocking her sister out should be what she should do but she foolishly didn’t like the idea and opted for the more harder options.

That foolishness however would cost her. Like the time when she saw her second uncle was killed her consciousness slipped. This time she knew what was going on but couldn’t stop it. With Aoife incapacitated Fiadh slowly advanced. She barely had anytime to block a strike. Aoife was there who should still be on the ground writhing. Yet, something was off about her. Bloodlust. Bloodlust for the sake of carnage. Second round with these two went the complete opposite. Fiadh was now on the defensive. Aoife movements were less refined and more bestial. Due to this her movements were more fluid, swift and cost effective. The bystanders watched on with anxiety. Even though Aoife was on the offensive and had the upper hand. It wasn’t her. It wasn’t like her to fight in such a way. On top of that it looked like she was about to kill Fiadh. That was the one thing Aoife didn’t like and what Julius had ordered her NOT to do. He had to stop her and hold her back. He called out to her. Trying to bring back the girl he had come to like and love. The struggle went on for a bit and she calmed down. She raised her sword and it looked like she was going to stab Julius off of her but she stabbed her hand. This maneuver somehow brought her back. She thanked him for that but she needed to stop her (senpai).

Once again she and Fiadh fought once again. Exchanged blows for blows. When she left herself wide open for an attack. Fiadh took that opening and landed a ‘fatal’ blow. At the last moment Aoife moved slightly to the side. Just enough she was nicked. She was close enough to get the syringe out and stick it to the side of Fiadh’s neck. The reaction was instant. Fiadh writhed on the ground until the anesthesia kicked in. Unfortunately for Aoife she didn’t have any time to rest.

Everyone heard someone singing an odd version of ‘London Bridge is falling down.’ To Aoife she knew just who the singer was and sprinted towards the source. The onlookers reacted much less quickly than Aoife and followed after her. However the difference between them only widened. Made it even worse that she disappeared around a corner. She saw Shay’s silhouette jump from the tops of the building. After taking many turns she finally comes face to face with Shay. Without another word Shay rushed at her. Try as she might, she couldn’t fend herself from his attacks. Exhaustion was finally taking a toll on her. Shay’s next blow was hard enough to completely knock her unconscious.

By the time Julius and the others arrived at the scene she was down with Shay holding a fist full of her hair. Julius ordered for Shay to let her go. Shay tried to stifle a laugh but a chuckle still slipped. He remarked how Julius had ended her contract early and had no right to ask for her back. After all, all it took was a simple talk between them for Julius to believe he wasn’t fit for Aoife. Julius retorted that it was Shay taking advantage of the situation. He chuckled and did not at all deny it. “What makes you think I would allow some random kid to take what’s mine? Now if you’ll excuse me it's time I take my leave.” And carried Aoife off with him as a helicopter appeared. Julius and the others tried to stop him and launched their beyblades as Shay stepped on to the ladder. To their surprise Shay launched his beyblade while still carrying Aoife. He easily veered their beyblades off course. Shay disappeared with Aoife.

Metal fight beyblade 4D / Beyblade Metal Fury

Three weeks. Three weeks went by ever since Shay kidnapped Aoife and disappeared. Julius tried to act calm as possible but as the days dragged on the worry pilled. If anything he was surprised he wasn't as worried as he thought he would be. Probably had to do with Aoife suddenly acting extremely strange. He was worried she might have killed Fiadh. He later found out she is Aoife's older sister. He wondered why Aoife kept that a secret. But knowing her it was something that she couldn't at all say. Not once had she mentioned to the rest of the Excalibur team that he lost to her in an impromptu fencing match. He was more than glad she never mentioned it. Yet, if asked directly what was the result she went out of her way to lie about it and say she lost him. A phone call pulled him out of his reverie. The caller had to be Shay but the voice was distorted. He simply told him if he wants to know the truth come see him at this location.

Shay had taken Aoife to the broken down house that they found as kids. There was a secret passageway that led to an underground cavern. Oddly enough the cavern was slightly renovated. It was already like this when he discovered the cavern. There was a holding cell with bars so thick escape by bending the bars was nigh impossible. He wondered if Aoife’s ancestors knew what it was that afflicted them. Either way Shay was reading a journal that he found in this cavern. A journal he hoped was the answer to his prayers. What changed his mind on ending Aoife was when she regained herself and Julius held her back. As much as he hated to admit it. Julius saved Aoife back then. If there was any chance to put an end to this cycle he had to bet it on Julius. That was a hard pill to swallow. As he read on he started to get why this occurred. At first it was thought a curse was placed on Lavery and Walch. With the journal however it was just a matter of coincidence. A coincidence that created an attachment so strong the two families were afflicted with this tragedy.

The solution was to make the unseen, seen. To do that he had to find Aoife's beyblade that was given to her before she left the Walch family. Sneaking in and rummaging through her things was no laughing matter. It really was a matter of life and death. Once he found it he set his plans into motion. Shay got to the supposed meeting place for him and Julius. But as expected he didn't come alone. He had a feeling the others came of their free will but he didn't have time. They were seriously running out of time. Aoife right now was put to sleep via anesthesia. She was fine for a while but the monster side of herself sprung into action.

If he was going to do this he only needed Julius. He didn't have time to spare on extras. He managed to take Julius from the group and make a quick get away. Thankfully Shay anticipated this so their true meeting place was at the broken down house. At which he told Julius everything. Even gave documents of every person afflicted. That also included the journal. Of course his response was an expected one. Absurd. Yet here they were, where Aoife's very life hung in Shay's hands. He needed Julius's help. What they were going to be was he called extremely stupid. If things go wrong both of them would die. But if they did nothing, Aoife's life was forfeit. He asked him what he had to do? They simply had to beybattle Monster!Aoife while Aoife's subconsciousness tried to talk to the foreign creature. If she could convince the creature to dwell within the beyblade instead of herself then he hoped that would put an end to this tragedy.

Talking about the plan and strategizing was completely different than putting it into action. For starters the beybattle with Monster!Aoife's beyblade did not even follow the rules of this world. Seriously, who ever heard of a beyblade that completely ignored gravity. This was going to be tough and Shay hoped Aoife was doing her part in all of this.

Meanwhile for Aoife she did as Shay instructed and touched a yoga ball sized rock while she had her beyblade in hand. The next she knew she was in some weird world. Everything was pitch dark except for a thin line of light. There before her few yards away was a creature she had never seen before. No, not never. She vaguely had a feeling she had seen this creature when she was very young. When it made a growling noise she gasped. From time to time Aoife would hear some noise like an animal but would never be able to find the source. Now she finally knew the source. This creature had been calling for her. For years and years. Before she knew what was going on the creature started to play with her and she returned the sentiment. As they played they sort of had a conversation. Aoife used her words while the creature used telepathy and sent images to Aoife.

Aoife and the creature reconciled and let Aoife go and allowed her to wake up. When she came too Shay and Julius looked beat up. Both of them expressed how they never want to do that ever again. She hugged them both and thanked them. Grateful.

Aoife didn't stick around to help Julius help Ginga to stop Nemesis. She wanted to travel around the world and have her Bizarre Chamaeleon have the fun they didn't get to have for thousands of years. Some place far away as the world was assaulted with weather disaster caused by Nemesis her beyblade Bizarre Chamaeleon glowed. Without a moment's hesitation she sent the light emitted from her beyblade to Ginga. After all her traveling she finally came to appreciate many things about the world. Even the parts where it was repulsive like the people in her past. By the end of the series Aoife arrived at the Caesar estate. A place that had become her home. She and Julius talked. About so many things. Lastly she talked about what she wanted to do. As much as she wanted to stay here and support him she found what she wanted to do and wanted to walk her own path. She can't do it here supporting him.

He was sad about her decisions and he knew she too was sad because her tears were quietly rolling down. He let her go many times before this but each time she faithfully returned. But now if he let her go he wasn't sure if he'll see her again. They could keep in touch yeah but it wouldn't be the same. With a heavy heart and wavering resolve he let her go. But before that he pulled her close and kissed her. After she pulled away he watched her go. Both of them hoped they will meet each other again someday.

Ship Name and Meaning

Moonlightshipping is the name for the shipping for Aoife and Juluis. The reason for this name stems from two moments in Aoife’s life where Julius had forced her to dance with him as a small gesture to cheer up after a stressful situation hours prior. It was under the light of the moon that she thought he was a little handsome. That moment was when her feelings for him bud.

The other moment was one night when the full moon was out and the sky was clear. One of the rooms had a piano in. She walked into that room looking for Julius only to be greeted with the sight of the piano bathed in moonlight. A need to play a piece of music that was burned into her mind coursed through. Without any lights on she began playing the piece of music from memory which was titled: Under the Moon. Shortly after Aoife started to play. Julius had come across the piano room looking for her. The door was left wide open. The piece she played was simple, but beautiful. It carried a somber, yet calm feeling as she played. He just watched her play under the moonlight and wondered when it was she started to smile more. He didn’t realize that night was when feelings for her bud.

Moonlight also refers to their dynamic as a couple later in life. Ebb and flow. Neither one is primarily dominant nor bashful. There are some days where Aoife is the dominant and other days where she is bashful. Same with Julius. They change their roles like the changes in the tide controlled by the moon known as their moods.

How did their relationship developed?

Aoife and Julius’s relationship had quite the nasty beginning. The day they met she was already in a bad mood. He brazenly demanded an fencing match from her. After much persuasion involving insults she accepted his demands. That way she can end this quickly, have him out of her life and never see him again. The match was one sided with Aoife standing as the victor. Even before they met Aoife didn’t have a high opinion with those of prestige background. Because she was constantly harassed by one. Already from the beginning she didn’t like him and that dislike only grew with each second. After the match she had written him off from her mind or so she thought. Just the way he was hung over one defeat caused her to feel irritated enough to console him. This led to Julius with the brilliant idea of hiring her as his bodyguard. She refused of course. The idea of serving someone who was arrogant like him sent shivers disgust and bitterness. After all, it would be like serving that one rich guy who harassed her. Being owned by someone like that felt offensive to her.

Despite all her protest she ended up as his bodyguard. All thanks to her Uncle accepting the offer on her behalf and rejecting her complaints. From then on she did her duties. Even though she was there against her will she faithfully and meticulously did her duties. Julius was rather impressed how well she performed. However, that quickly went away with how unfriendly she was with him. She even coldly pointed out she was just doing her job. Her feelings were irrelevant to who she was protecting; she will faithfully and meticulously do her duties. After all, she has a reputation to uphold. Her family's reputation. Her unfriendliness wouldn’t have been such a problem if she was unfriendly to everyone else at the mansion. On the contrary, she was friendly to everyone in the mansion. She was even friendly to his little brother Nero. He at first wasn’t too bothered by this but as the days went on she remained unfriendly to him and she grew closer to his little brother Nero. In fact he at one point overheard Nero accidentally say she was like a sister to him. This caused Aoife to be flustered and embarrassed. From that day forward a small hint of envy formed. Envious Nero witnessed the cute side of Aoife. This didn’t cause any rift between the brothers thankfully.

Nero himself wanted Aoife and Julius to get along. He knew his older brother could be insufferable but he also knew he’s a good person underneath it all. The same with Aoife. He could see Aoife held some kind of childish pride. As if to prove to herself she won’t be swayed. She mentioned to Nero how she had a bad experience with someone in the same background as them. Didn’t help Julius was just as arrogant with her as the other person. Nero sort of understood but also said his brother isn’t that bad of a person. The conversation ended there. Nero, who wanted nothing more for them to get along, slipped some tips to Julius to at least break the stalemate between them. Julius was thankful for the gesture but had a feeling she wouldn’t be too receiving. Instead he opted to observe her. Even though she was mostly indifferent he saw at the corner of his eye she reacted to some things that caught her eye. With her birthday coming up he wanted to give her something. He hoped this would break the unfriendly stalemate. A few days later he just so happened to witness that. He caught her staring at a store window. A green brooch displayed at the store front at the window.

On the day of her birthday he gave her a gift. At first she was unsure but accepted the gift regardless. When she opened the gift box her eyes lit up and awkwardly looked back at him. It was the green brooch she had looked at a while back. Actually she was sad a few days ago when the brooch wasn't on display anymore. He commented he noticed that she was staring at it and thought the brooch would look good on her. She came back after excusing herself to change out her tie for the brooch tied in a black ribbon. He restated his statement that the brooch looked great on her. She was caught off guard that she couldn't help but smile. Though she caught herself and tried to revert back to her more neutral expression but couldn't. She took a huge liking to the brooch and was planning to buy it. Though now she realized she might have to rethink how she should interact with Julius. Not only that she now thought it would be rude of her to not give him something back. But how the hell do you give a gift to a guy who's rich!?

After much mulling over and looking around she got an idea for a gift. By now she knows his work ethic. Yeah he's arrogant but begrudgingly she could see he was earnest. Whatever it was he focused on, he earnestly worked hard to be on top. He barely had time for himself. That's why she thought giving him a shoulder massage was the best option for a gift. When she made that offer to him he was caught off guard and felt it was inappropriate. However she countered, it was only fair she gave something back to him. This was the best gift she could give him. With much reluctance he relent only because he knew she was right. The first few minutes were awkward for both of them. She was prepared until she got conscious of what it was she was about to do. After getting over that hurdle the rest of the session truly was relaxing and tension relieving for Julius. They weren't quite friends at that point but he was at least at the point where she was friendly with him. Little did he know that would change quickly.

Aoife got into the habit of giving massages. In fact it was Julius that commented how good she was with her hands. Because of this she started to study the many different types of massages. With each new technique she learns she at first tries it out on the maids. To them the experience was out of this world. Like Julius they also commented how good she was with her hands. Afterwards tries the new techniques on Julius. After a lot of sessions Aoife found herself running her fingers through his hair.

A month passed by since the broken stalemate. Even though they were on friendly terms. She found herself wanting to get to know him more. Simply observing him just didn't cut it anymore. There was only so much she could glean from observing. She wanted to be able to converse with him. To know his thoughts. It took her by surprise how much her opinion of him changed. Yet, she accepted that change. Of course she knew why. If it wasn't for Nero who always vouched for his older brother she probably wouldn't have second thoughts about her unfriendly demeanor. She guessed it was because she too is a younger sibling and would do the same exact thing for her older siblings. It did help that she and Nero become good friends. Now the question was how should she go about it.

A week went by and she was no closer to an answer until she heard piano music. This wasn't her first time hearing it but it was the first time she actually listened. She knew who it was playing the piano. Then she had an idea. On the pretense of teaching her how to play the piano she could have the chance to talk to him. With that in mind she made her way to him. She expected the refusal and sprang her trap. She knew he took great pride in his skills. So of course she mentioned how with his skill and talent teaching a novice like her should be easy. Without realizing he got caught in her trap he agreed to her statement. Added he wouldn't mind if she sat back and watched. With a sly smile she sat beside him. Caught off guard again he asked her what she was doing. She recounted how he agreed how easy it would be for him to teach a novice. Then asked was he going back on his word? Firmly in her trap he sighed and accepted the arrangement. Not tonight however. With glee she accepted. With each new lesson she and him conversed much more than before. She couldn't ask for a better arrangement.

As time went by they certainly became close friends. With their own inside jokes or just cracking jokes in general. She didn't realize until an incident at a party that she developed feelings for him. It wasn't a sparks flying moment either. The dance to get her mind off the incident wasn't it. No, it was the moment when his touch left her fingertips. Her chest tightened at the loss of touch. As if she never wanted to let go. By this point both of them knew each on a personal level. He knew a secret that no one but a very select few knew. That before her great grandfather's passing he imparted something to this day she was still trying to understand. He also knew she valued her time. Only put forth effort where something meaningless has some meaning found in it. But above all else he got to know just how caring she was. She worried and fretted over him and his work ethic. He wished she wouldn’t fuss so much but at the same time found it reassuring. What wasn’t reassuring was she didn’t afford the same caring nature to herself. More often than not she would get harmed in some way but wouldn’t get treated until someone fussed about it. Be it him or someone else. Aoife on the other hand tried her best to hide her injuries. She didn’t want anyone to worry about her. So long as she was able to move her arms and legs she was okay.

After the hurdle that was first impressions she found herself surprisingly endeared to him. Underneath that arrogance there was a form of fairness to him. He was not one for underhanded tactics. Whatever he did he gave it his all. She liked that about him. She appreciated his sincerity to hard work. Of course he did have a head start as well as wealth for the best scholars to teach him. But none of that meant she should judge him and she didn’t. He could have just paid others to do his work for him but didn’t. That was another reason why she respected him. He at least understood the value of hard work. His high-class lifestyle and attitude bothered her at the beginning but now she found herself enjoying parts of it. Some parts she found herself complaining and just didn’t partake in it.
