Black cats are often used as a witch's familiar, but this cat decided to fill the niche himself when the witch of the local village mysteriously vanished. Walpurgis, or Wick as he sometimes goes, is very much learning on the fly but you wouldn't know that from the confidence he exudes. Sometimes he disguises himself as a human lamplighter to gather information and supplies, especially candles for his spells and rituals.
