Personality: Zeram displays an incredibly whimsical nature. He's cheerful, almost like a child, but has none of the innocence. He's still very curious about Lunae and understanding humans, despite all the time he's had to study them. Rules with an iron grip and allows no dissent, all with that stupid grin on his face. Zeram is strangely enough not a big sadist and takes more interest in putting his hostages to work in Hrawa rather than killing them off.
Story: No one's even sure how Zeram appearead. Some claim him to be the first demon, some say the second or third, but Zeram's never confirmed any of that. What is known, however, is that once Hrawa had appeared, Zeram marched in and took control. He built the Regent's Citadel with humans who defied the Gods, he built Hrawa from civilizations destroyed by said Gods. Thus a long, very long reign of prosperity would be brought to the realm of demons. It's likely that the origins of demons have something to do with Zeram, but as usual, the regent's lips are sealed.

Zeram dueled Vethra Regama as a challenge from the Gods and lost, which locked him in an eternal debt to process souls that come in from Lunae. It was one of Zeram's few losses in his long life. Vethra eventually became his weapon and now they're inseparable friends. It's not known whether Zeram has any other offspring than his semi-summoned daughter Devar, but he does love her very much.
