Deep in the humid swamp of Hollowclan, where the Mangrove Trees grow a plenty, a famine spreads throughout the large clan, causing heartbreaking sacrifices to be made, and many deaths on cats paws. This was the case of Maggotscar’s parents, who chose the stronger of the two brothers to live, while young Maggotkit was left to die. But, thanks to the Medicine Cat of the clan, the scrawny kitten lived, much to everyone’s surprise. He was neglected for his weaker stature, out of guilt and just uninterest, even by his parents. The only ones he was close to were his brother, who everyone adored, and the clan’s medicine cat, who he sees as more of a mother than his biological one. Even so, the famine continued, and to survive, Maggotscar would eat plants, and more commonly bugs, until it escalated to roadkill hit by monsters, including cats, like loners, rogues, and decreased kittypets. As time went on, his distain and hatred towards his family grew, until eventually, he murdered each one, eating them as well. Sadly for him, he was caught, exiled to die, as that he did, now residing in the Deep, where the lost souls go. The tale of Maggotscar still is around to this day, the punishment and devastation the hungriest cats can develop, known as the Endless Hunger by all.
