Elvio Taranto

In a lot of ways Elvio can be compared to his best friend, Adem, as mirror images of one another, however with closer inspection you can see that these similarities come in different 'font', per se. Elvio finds himself on the more immature side surprisingly in comparison to Adem, and has gone too far with jokes. He's the water that doses the fires as well, ironically, and he puts an end to most discourses through interruptive laughter or a quick change of subject. He carries himself in a way that screams "I need to take a nap", but is also so energetic and ready for an adventure.

Elvio is an extremely curious man. Nothing about his friends gets away from him, whether it be the new chick Adem's sleeping with, or if Matchstick got fired from his job again. He likes to know the haps of his comrades, and comes off as annoyingly nosy to them at times.

Despite his flaws, he is a loyal and caring friend who'll put any of them first before himself. He values self-sacrifice for the betterment of others and will spend hopeless amounts of money that he certainly doesn't have to see a smile on their face. Acts of service and gift giving are perhaps his biggest love languages.

Elvio was originally the one who wanted to attend the college in Pennsylvania. Adem thought it was a really boring state to want to go to school in, but accompanied him on his way.

Elvio grew up in Brooklyn, New York City in a very Italian neighbourhood alongside his mother and father. Both were very caring, and his childhood was nothing but normal. The only thing that disrupted this normalcy was Elvio's boiterous personality and tendency to get himself into trouble. They saw Adem as a bad influence, and worried that their son was going down the wrong path, when in reality the boys simply complimented eachother; neither or made the other worse, simply stronger.

He had always had an affinity for hairdressing, and wanted to become a barber when he aged. He never had a set idea of what he wanted to do, and assumed that taking up cosmetology was his calling. He wasn't exactly wrong, but oftentimes he finds himself forgetting that defining yourself by this one purpose was far from productive, and has to be reminded by those around him of who he is.

• He often wears bowling shirts.
• He is prone to having runny noses / colds, always sniffling.
• He's always chewing gum which is partially why he has a really nice jawline.
• He is trilingual, speaking Italian, Spanish, and English. English is his first language. Spanish comes from family heritage, and Italian comes from his neighbourhood or general environment, and his close peers, like The Bats, his friend group, who can all fluently speak Italian and frequently do with one another.
