Shoko is a quiet, introverted cat who doesn't talk much and keeps to herself. When you first meet her, she can seem rude and very irritable. She doesn't like strangers and won't talk to them unless she absolutely has to. But despite her initial attitude, she can be very sweet, emotional and affectionate. The few friends she has are very important to her. It's just that she often finds it very difficult to open up to others.

She only lives with her mother. Her father left the family shortly after she was born and she has never met him. She doesn't know any of her other relatives well, as they all live far away and see each other very rarely, except for her uncle, with whom she was close as a child. Her uncle gave her her first camera and she has loved photography ever since.

She was always a quiet kit and never had many friends, but she didn't mind most of the time, although sometimes she did feel a little lonely. She made her first close friend when she moved to a new school. He was one of the first cats to talk to her. She was a little shy at first, but they bonded very quickly and he soon became her best friend. It was also around this time that she met Silvia, who became one of her best friends. Even though she was still quite bad at socialising and some cats thought she was a strange child, these were some of the happiest times of her life.

When her best friend died it was very hard time for her. She blamed herself a lot, became even more withdrawn and stopped talking to almost everyone except Silvia. She became a bit aggressive towards strangers. She was sometimes bullied because of her quiet and grumpy demeanour, but she found it mostly annoying, though she did get into a few fights with her classmates over it. She even pushed away cats who tried to help her, leaving Silvia as her only friend. She used to tell everyone she was fine and get angry if people didn't believe her, when in fact she was feeling very lonely.

Nothing really interesting happened in her life for a while before she met Moon. They had a strange relationship at first, but as time went on they bonded over their shared interests and struggles and grew closer and closer. Finally, she found another cat she felt comfortable with. Later she met Mei and the 3 of them became an inseparable trio. Her friends are the most important cats in the world to her and she's very grateful to have them.

In the present day, she tries to survive high school while getting into various shenanigans with her friends.
