Although Koukei is friendly, and likes meeting new people, he usually wouldn't initiate a conversation with a complete stranger unless he needed to (because he's shy). When he's misunderstood or is taken completely off-guard, he gets really flustered. He worries a lot and gets stressed when he can't do anything/has fun when there's work to do.

 Backstory

Koukei was born from an old cat plush that belonged to a hardworking medical student Won Ji Tae who had a heart condition. When Ji Tae was first diagnosed with a heart disease, he thought about giving up on life until Koukei appeared in his life. Ji Tae then decided to study medicine and come up with a cure to this illness with Koukei's encouragement. He was very intelligent and managed to get accepted into medical school. Unfortunately, Ji Tae suffered an attack and was hospitalized the day before school started. Koukei decided to go and attend school in his owner's place. He would take notes and give them to his owner so that his owner wouldn't have to catch up with school when he was released from the hospital. 

Since his owner was hospitalized, the bills are very expensive. So after school, Koukei would work in order to pay them off. He accepts all kinds of odd jobs; from gardening to being a bodyguard, which led to him having all kinds of skills (like a jack of all trades). When he has free time, Koukei is usually found in the school's lab researching.

His nickname was given to him by a friendly chinese old store owner who he visits and helps out daily for free. He found it relaxing to be in her presence.
