Story:
Tenacity was living a double life.

In one life, he was the hero. A brazen, fearless viscet with a knack for heroics, always ready to help the good guys - for a price, of course. He was a mercenary, and one of the best. He was known as the Hunter, and he was brilliance.
. In the other, he was a villain. A shady figure caped in blue, willing to do anything, even those things that no one else wanted to do. The things too dark for even the darkest beings in Silvarum to be willing to take on. This version of himself was the Warrior, and when he donned his cape and went to the darkest places in the land, he trusted no one and no one trusted him. It wasn't like he had two separate personalities - he was merely willing to do anything for anyone, good or evil, and at the end of the day he only worried about himself. His well-being mattered more than the fate of Silvarum... so why bother picking a side? With this, he could easily slip between the two, following wherever the winds blew him.

It was something that could never truly last.

Tenacity lived this crazy, reckless, impossible double life until something bad happened. Something he didn't know how to react to.
. The leader of the Sunglow kingdom at the time (not the current one, the one before) came to him, the him that was Hunter, and asked him to capture the Warrior. It was fairly awkward once he realized what was being asked of him. He was literally supposed to capture himself. So how was he supposed to do that? This was, quite frankly, an impossible situation he'd put himself in.
. But Tenacity didn't show his fear or confusion. Instead he simply nodded, agreed. Just as the Hunter always did. "I'll make sure it's done, m'lord," he said with a tiny bow and a tilt of his head, and then he went on his way, silently panicking.

The viscet wandered off into the forest, wondering how he was ever supposed to get out of this crazy mess, when a pebble fell from the nearest tree and landed in front of him. He drew his sword in one quick movement, his gaze darting around his surroundings. “Who’s there? Name yourself!”
. He heard laughter, and then two ridiculous looking ghosts materialized in front of him.
. "Heard what happened! You've got yourself in a spot of trouble, eh?" the first one says. He's a glowing, golden fellow, with two tiny wings that certainly couldn't keep him in the air. Yet he was floating, nonetheless.
. "You think? I'd say he's in more than trouble, he's doomed unless we help him out."
. "Yes, Merle! Absolutely. You're Tenacity, right?" the first ghost ignored the viscets' horrified stare and continued on. "We're Merle and Lumiere! Resident ghost pranksters. Been watching you for a while, and we like you. So we're here to offer our assistance."
. The fact that two ghosts had been following him and he'd had no idea was terrifying in itself, but that he would accept their help? "I'll be fine on my own, ghosts. Thanks, but no thanks." Tenacity turned around, started to walk away, but the ghosts followed.

"No, I don't think you understand! We're the master pranksters! Best in the land. And if we can pull off a prank..." Merle said,
. "Then you bet we can figure out a way to get you out of this!" finished Lumiere.
. Ten hated to admit the fact that they were right. Yes, he’d heard the names of Merle and Lumiere once or twice. They were like legends, stories told to children. And here they were, standing in front of him. Well, floating... but still. He hated having to accept help but he didn’t know any other way to solve his little problem. He stopped, sighed, then turned around. “Fine! Fine. Help me out. But if you mess it up, you know I’ll never forgive you two.”
. Lumiere laughed. “Well at least you can’t kill us. No one can kill a ghost.”
. Tenacity merely held up one of the many potions he carried around at all times. It was a small gesture. A threat. “And that’s where you’re wrong. So don’t mess up.”
. And so began their unlikely alliance.

The three plotted and planned for a week. Ten got to know his new ghostly companions a bit better, and he tried not to, but he was finding that he had quite the soft spot for these fellows.
. So of course, when the plan went wrong and Merle was captured, Tenacity was horrified. He realized that he was actually pondering risking his life for the silly fellow - what an idea! A completely stupid one.

Yet still he raced in, fearing for his life, and saved Merle before he could, for lack of a better term, ‘give up the ghost’. That meant dying, right?
. Merle and Lumiere ended up explaining Tenacity’s double life situation to the leaders of all three kingdoms, and they agreed to let him by with merely a scolding, albeit a long and drawn out one. The warrior was no more - only the hunter was left.
. But there were still some times where he donned the old hood and thought about the past days.
