Ren

Ren's name was spelt using the Kanji for lotus (蓮), as symbolism for his parents high hopes for their child. Prosperity and wealth, a cultural idea that lotus flowers bloom from the bottom of the lake, pushing through the mud on top. It means that if you try hard enough, you will succeed in the end. However, when Ren went to live overseas to study he began using the alternate Kanji for his name, (恋), which roughly means romance, symbolizing his attempt push his parents wishes far away from his own ideology.

Ren is a massive troll in terms of online gaming. He is very active in the Final Fantasy XIV scene and will harass or even flirt with other players in game. He uses female avatars while playing, in order to get gifted free items. His online alias is HachisuHime (lit. Lotus Princess). Sometimes when his boyfriend, Junho, gets too immersed played League of Legends and doesn't pay him enough attention, Ren will log into an account he made just to bug Junho.
