North

Never calling one place home for too long, North loves little more than wandering all across the universe on whatever ship will take her. Happy to work in return for transportation, she works hard and plays harder, making sure to take plenty of pictures along the way. Has a habit of buying too many souvenirs and struggles to find a place for them all because she feels bad getting rid of them.

Bearing a striking resemblance to the northern cardinals of Earth, North sports a bright red pelt with darker red markings that look like wings placed over her thighs. Bright red feathers cover her stomach and inner thigh, and her very curly hair is a similar bright hue. Her chest and face are not feathered, showing soft red skin with sparce freckling. Over her eyes and down her cheeks, is a deep red, nearly brown, mask marking that connects under her chin to form a stripe down her neck. Small horns, and her scaled hands and feet, are a dark red plated with some light spots as well. Her tail is strong, her ears are long, and both are veyr mobile. Finally, her hands are supinated, with the plams facing one another unless she reaches out.

With round features and a short frame, North enjoys loose and comfortable clothing that is easily travelled in. She sometimes gets a bit nervous wearing dresses and skirts even though she loves them, and wouldn't easily amdit that she likes to twirl in them. Most days, she finishes her outfit with an old polaroid camera she bought back on Earth, complete with a lanyard full of pins from her favorite places.

Eager to explore and get going, North spends any free time she has researching where to go next. She is remarkably thorough in this research, and delights in making lists and itineraries, even happier to share them, her plans and her thoughts. She is very organized and tidy, and because of it, tends to get stressed whenever things don't happen according to plan, go off track or don't match up with her timeline. While she's tried to become a bit more impulsive, she just really enjoys having expectations so she doesn't get frazzled in the moment.

With that being said, it isn't that North is stuck up or strict, far from. Her meticulous planning allows her to take beautiful photos and write wonderful reports, full of vibrance and detail. Her retellings of her and her partner's vacations are lucid, and North truly has a talent for making others feel like they were there.

North grew up on starships, and feels very much at peace in space. Her family moved around quite a bit, and once she was old enough, North was sent off on her own to continue the tradition of exploration and reporting, with some reluctance. It was on these travels she met her partner, and after several more coincidental meetings, they would vow to always travel together. She has been notably happier on her outings since.

• Ends up buying things for other people a lot because she enjoys trinkets but has nowhere to keep them.
• Has a lot of stamina, and doesn't tire easily, especially when sight-seeing.
• Has to be reminded to drink water, forgets too because she gets too excited.
• Swears by film from old Earth manufacturers, and says replicators just can't make it quite right.
