Axel

• Nicknames include: “Kitty”
• Is m!Morgan (but in a cool way).
• He was a surrogate. His biological father is Chrom, whereas his biological mother was a maiden named Laudine. Aside from her name, not much is really known about her.
  • Laudine lives in a small hamlet not too far from Ylisstol. Aside from the royal family, the Shepherds, and some members connected to the royalty, nobody knows that Laudine is Axel’s mother. Her friends and family thought she had a stillbirth.
  • She has no desire to come into contact with Axel or his family.
  • Axel knows that he is a surrogate (obviously), but he doesn’t have any desire to meet Laudine either. 
• He had a (comparatively) normal childhood. 
• He takes more after Chrom than Robin; he’s athletic, impulsive, and heavily driven by emotion.
  • Unlike Chrom, though, he is very flamboyant. 
• However, he is also very smart like Robin and specialises in magic too. 
• In regards to his relationship with his immediate family:
  • Chrom: loves him to bits and pieces. He can get a bit angry at how he rules and his behaviour, but he loves him regardless. They hang out often (even as Axel became an adult) and they maintain a very healthy relationship.
  • Robin: also loves him to bits and pieces. He loves to banter with his father over pieces of literature and even helps him out on tactical strategies from time to time. Axel isn’t a tactician by any means, but he and Robin are inseparable.
  • Lucina: greatly admires her and spars with her often. He wishes he could hang out with her more since she often acts as the diplomatic head of Ylisse. 
  • Morgan: she used to tease him when they were both little, but as time went on, they grew very close together. If Axel needs something, he always runs to Morgan for advice and help. 
• He inherited his flamboyance from Owain. Being cousins, they naturally got along very well and became best friends as time went on.
• He is very devout and often attends Libra’s church to help him out.
• Axel is also good friends with Brady, Yarne, Laurent, and Gerome. 
• He didn’t get Chrom’s freckles lol
• His peculiar appearance has gained him a lot of notoriety around the kingdom, some calling him the “Exalted Grimleal”, much to the dismay of Axel and his family. Some think that the brand being under his red eye symbolises his “demonic heritage”.
  • Robin absolutely loathes anyone who compares his son to Grima or a demon. 
  • Laudine wasn’t a Grimleal; she was born in a rural Feroxi town, so Axel has no Grimleal—let alone Plegian—blood.
• Being driven by emotion, Axel is prone to sudden outbursts of anger. Many people find him “unapproachable” because of this
• Axel grew up fairly obedient and was expected to act as such, but when he hit 12, he started to rebel and develop his more flamboyant personality. His family obviously didn’t mind whatsoever, but finding his true self attracted a lot of negative attention towards his family.
  • Most people are accepting of him now.
• His critical hit quotes are:

  • “I’ll make you the earth I walk on!”
  • “See you later!”
  • “You’ve lost!”
• I like to think he’d sound like a mix between Yuri Lowenthal’s Marth and Robbie Daymond’s Akechi.

• He was originally a Marth x Caeda fan child for a roleplay, but he has since become a Chrobin fan child.
• He was created on December 22nd, 2019.
• He became a Chrobin fan child on August 8th, 2020.
• His original name was Alexander (which was often shortened to Alex or Lex).
  • It was changed because Alex is very close to my deadname.
  • Funnily enough, Axel is an anagram of Alex.
• So, obviously Alear copied Axel’s red/blue heterochromia >:(
