03 — Background
Early Life
Reno spent his childhood in the delta region of Qalt, a region controled by Cule. The delta region was a perfect area for fishing, which was a skill that Reno learned from his father at a young age. Reno was close with his parents when he was young, but once little sister Repa was born both of his parents became more distant. In many ways it was up to Reno to take care of Repa, which he did gladly. The two were nearly inseparable. Their parents, however, became more and more distant from each other. Eventually, after a harsh argument, Rekk and Nopa decided to separate. When they did Rekk decided to move across the border to Curr's territory, taking Reno with him. Reno was pulled away from the only home he'd ever known, and was forced to leave the little sister he loved behind.
While in Cule's territory, Reno's ambitions and motivations drained away. The delta was far behind him, as were his plans of becoming a fisherman. He tended to sleep more often than not, and despite his father's attempts to reach out he had a hard time accepting the situation they were now in. Eventually, Rekk decided to sign Reno up for Curr's military - partially to stop the accusing gazes from their neighbors, partially to help Reno out of his unmotivated slump. Reno had no interest in fighting for a cause that he didn't entierly belive in, but he had even less interest in arguing with his father. In the end, he took his squadron assignment - Squadron 416 - and just hoped to get it over with.
Currently...
When Reno first met the other members of Squadron 416, he initially had a hard time getting along with any of them. He and Sera clashed, he didn't have the energy to try and converse with Vedo, and Opal just seemed annoying and bossy. It wasn't until he got the chance to show his love for fishing to his team that he finally began to connect with Opal, and the two became close. By the end of their journey to get to their assigned outpost, Reno truly cared about all three of his teammates, and found himself finally rekindling the motivation that he had lost when he lost his sister.
This motivation came too late. Only a few weeks into their time at the Krags outpost, Squadron 416 was sent out on a border patrol. On this patrol they encountered a double squadron from Sarr's territory. Reno was killed during the battle.

Reno never wanted to be a soldier; he wanted to be a fisherman

When Repa was born, Nopa bought a set of matching Felu and Fer necklaces for Reno and Repa. It's a common and cheesy tradition that many quarileon parents do for their pups, but Reno ended up keeping his Felu necklace to remind himself of his little sister.

05 — Relationships
Sister
Reno did a lot to help take care of Repa when they were both young. The siblings are extemely close, even now that they're separated.
Friend/Squadmate
Despite Reno's initial impression of Opal as annoying and overbearing, the two became very close. Reno appreciated the drive and optimism that Opal always seemed to carry, and he tried to help comfort Opal after the death of her father.
Friend/Squadmate
At first Reno was sure that Vedo was aloof and couldn't care less to become friends, but he it wasn't long before Reno began to realize how caring Vedo actually is. Reno began to rely on Vedo's steady presence to help keep him moving and motivated, and he had a lot of respect for Vedo's leadership.
Friend/Squadmate
Reno and Sera had a rocky start to their friendship because of how their personalities clashed, but in the end they became close friends. In the short time that they spent at the Krags outpost they enjoyed bouncing ideas off of each other and causing trouble together.
Father
Reno moved with Rekk to Curr's territory. While he never hated his father, Reno did at least partially blame him for the fact that he's now separated from Repa and Nopa.
Mother
Nopa became fairly distant to Reno as he grew up. Despite this, Reno still misses his mom and would have been ready to forgive her if he had the chance to see her again.
