Owlheart was once a great warrior, even as an apprentice, she seemed to have a natural talent for fighting and hunting, she even spend her nights practicing alone, despite belittling herself inside for every single mistake, she kept her perfect warrior facade, she was ambitious, serious and prideful. It was no wonder she got an apprentice as soon as she did, she was meant to be the next leader of thunderclan. However, even though she was appreciated by everyone in her clan, she had no real friends but Feathersong, a cat from another clan, she was similar to her, both wanting to be leaders soon enough, however since they weren’t from the same clan they felt no need to hide their problems with each other.

They started with the same dreams and aspirations, the difference was that Feathersong was naturally less talented than Owlheart, her clan didn’t appreciate her as much, so she grew more aggressive with time, especially on battle, when Riverclan and Thunderclan were at war, a battle woke up in sunningrocks involving both Owlheart and Feathersong, Feathersong went to fight whoever cat got in her way, including her old friend, Owlheart, in hopes of saving herself, sliced Feathersong’s neck and left her with injuries she wouldn’t survive. Since then guilt destroyed Owlheart, she completely dropped the perfect warrior mask she kept all her life, resigned of the deputy role, and began being completely rude to everyone in her way, the fact that everyone was clearly disappointed at her didn’t help with her recovery.

Many moons have passed since then, she’s now a senior warrior, but Owlheart doesn’t seem to do any better, her glorious days are now over and now what younger warriors see it’s a grumpy old cat, meanwhile what those older ones see it’s a big disappointment, despite her not being respected at all and pretty much friendless, she doesn’t tell anyone the reason why she’s that way now, why she hates the divided clan system and the sadness that she truly feels. She’s now Beepaw’s mentor, a bright and cheerful cat, even though Owlheart finds her obnoxious, she secretly reminds her of herself when she was young, maybe this new younger cat will give her an opportunity to take a new outlook on life? only time will tell.
