Zephir sees Sören as his most successful subject yet. He has made countless 'alterations' to Sören, turning him into an effective guard.
The intimacy between them is what Zephir believes to be an unexpected, but not unwelcome side effect.
One of few Boisbéni to side with King Mal, Zephir enjoyed a semi-freedom for the majority of his reign.
As the later years of Mal's reign began, Zephir did inevitably find himself locked up and isolated. However, due to his place as a King's Boisbeni we was granted several things, including many many books on technology and biology by his request.
This access allowed him to completely rework his view on the limits of human biology and it's relation to and with technology. Setting himself on the road to where he is now in his current study and experimentation on the limits of biology. He specialises in prosthetics, using his magic to tie the machinery to the body in a way unachievable by most. Allowing for complex and fluid motion by the wearer of his prosthetics.
Though Zephir is not afraid to get his hands dirty when it comes to satisfying his curiosity. It is unknown where he found Sören, but it is clear that even he as Zephir's bond is not exempt to the Boisbéni's curiosity and likely the one who faces the most of Zephir's experimentation. The willingness of Sören's involvement is still questionable at best, though he is unwilling to leave Zephir's side.
