Connie is adopted and is the only predator in her village. She was bullied and beaten a lot for having predator instincts, it was hard not to attack but she stayed in control. Knowing she couldn't live like this anymore she left home and to go live where she can be herself. She met cinders and became friends but Connie tries hard not to attack or worse to Cinder.
