Severo

Story

Severo is a demon summoned into existence by mistake, born through an error by a cruel and selfish dark mage. Severo’s creator was a foul man who sought only to harness hell’s power for himself, and took advantage of the newborn demon for his own wicked plans. Facing unbearale torture and experimentation at his creator’s hands, Severo was put to work as a monstrous executioner, serving as an unbeatable trial for criminals within a corrupt churches arena. Murderers, thieves and assaulters were all captured and set loose in the arena to be torn apart by the demon, a punishment for their sins…. And entertainment for the underbelly of the city.

After a great many years, one of his captors took pity on the demon and allowed Severo to break free of his ‘master’s’ hold. This mage saw how low they had fallen, and desired for the executioner to put an end to the sinful city of Vatica.

And that he did. Once free, Severo wreaked havoc across the world of Terra. He toppled towns and purged villages of their whole populations. Mindless and blood thirsty, Severo only wished to fight the strongest of foes and come out as the victor. Demon hunters from far and wide were sent to dispatch this unknown monster, and each time they were eradicated in their attempt.

However, after centuries in a rage filled haze, Severo gained a sense of peace. War and blood became less and less of a desire for him, the pursuit of knowledge becoming his one true pleasure. He sought out creatures, not to slay them, but to learn about them. He learned to communicate in many of the tongues in Terra, books becoming solace for the demon. Severo spent years in old abandoned libraries simply absorbing knowledge... until it was time for him to venture out into the world once more.
