A well-spoken but brutally honest Gemborne, Agwé is both seemingly simultaneously resigned to his lot in life and desperately fighting the stereotypes applied to him. Though not a pacifist by any means, he will always choose avoidance or tactical retreat over a fight, if only because fighting further perpetuates the tasteless prejudices and distrust toward his kind; after all, not every gem was a warlord- some only fought to survive. This wasn't always the case of course, but standing up for himself in the past has only led to the kind of mod-rule violence and bile that would make any sane Grifflie want to curl up and hide. He learned fast that it's better to fight the status quo in more subtle ways... Agwé is entirely self-taught and has a voracious desire for knowledge; he particularly enjoys using his extensive vocabulary to confuse and misdirect those that try to belittle him. He harbours great respect (and no small amount of apprehension) toward Bunyip, who he believes is changing the views of common Grifflie little by little each day.

Agwé has no home or material possessions but tends to get by alright. He makes do with his income from odd jobs and is not too proud to leave town to hunt/gather food in the forests when that isn't enough. Most often, however, he can be found hanging out in the Plaza. He is often seen napping or reading on any high flat surface that will accommodate him, preferring rooftops when he needs to sleep deeply, but otherwise keeping odd hours to match whatever work he can get at the time.

His lifestyle means that Agwé stays relatively trim, if not outright underweight, but he is somewhat shorter and stockier in build than the average Gemborne. This makes his wings and tail look larger, and helps to make him look healthier than he probably is. He tends to try and make up for his smaller frame by putting on a confident, almost cocky, mask. Beneath that, however, all he really wants is to be able to live a normal life; to be able to walk down the streets without whispers or accusing/distrustful looks, to be able to make friends.
