Glimmer often felt she shouldn't have been born arcane. Even her name felt more fitting to shadow. As such, Glimmer dedicated her magic to strengthening her body in order to one day "move like a shadow". One of the first things Glimmer focused on was strengthening her eyesight. Her goal is to be able to see in the dark, which will help Glimmer accomplish two goals. Even though she feels like she should be shadow, Glimmer also loves studying. Good eyesight will help with reading by the firelight as well as make moving at night easier.

Glimmer's next goal is to strengthen her telepathic abilities. She hopes to be adept enough at it so that she may lift her own body. Glimmer wants to be able to travel swiftly and quietly but using her telepathy to travel to hard to reach places and land soft as a feather.
