brandy isn't exactly what you'd consider a nice girl, but she does know her stuff! a very intelligent dog, brandy tends to find herself picking up after messes that others have made if no solutions are to arise. strolling about a massive and lively city with thousands of people swarming every day in the main city square, brandy has met her fair share of good and bad. due to her quiet lifestyle she has had for years, she normally sticks to herself and waits for others to approach - and approach they do. brandy is notorious for her police work, which she has kept up for years, til she lost her master. because of her intense drive for this still, she has helped solve even petty crimes or running errands for old to young pet dogs of the suburbs from the mass of a city. seeing as a lot of the hounds in the city all have owners and are content living as pets, brandy has learned to grow bitter and resentful of other dogs. she carries old values, so she can definitely appear to be stern and serious, as well as domineering. she has her reasons though, and is reserved in this department for the most part. she would much rather speak business and is a considerable workaholic. despite being an argumentative and brawny recluse, brandy can be soft deep down. she is known to respect her elders and educate young pups with a smile on her face. brandy is a friend for life, and would love to die by your side of you earn her trust - but you must jump through her hoops first.

brandy was born in a large litter to professional lineage police dogs. having one of the strongest ambitions to learn out of the litter, a young officer named matthew had been assigned with her to raise and train. the two had hit it off right away, brandy bonding to matthew as she had trouble bonding with even her own family at the time - she quickly learned to love her human. before matthew could officially become a police officer, he had his work transferred to mountainous bases, where he and brandy served as a part of the search and rescue team. during this job, matthew and brandy were forced to grow up together in the dire seriousness and graveness of this task. due to this, the two officers had grown very attached to each other and were always at each others' sides, through thick and thin. brandy hadn't even minded that her only friend was her human.
when the time came to go back to the official base and start the real deal of police work, the first few years had went swell for the two. countless busts, break ins, and other emergencies were prevented and lives were saved due to this young and excellent pair, both really making names for themselves throughout the community. brandy had even started to reach out to others and accept friendship - it was really the prime of her life.
til one evening of remembrance, brandy was forced to stay at the station one night. though she had cried and barked, begging to go with matthew, she was held back. she had bit an officer, to which matthew had punished her for before he left - something that never happened, but was normal for the disciplinary lives of police dogs. brandy has never forgiven herself, because matthew never returned.
knowing what had possibly happened to him, brandy had fled the police station and her home without turning back. she's quite the shell of who she once was, but still appears to be somewhat still alive. she maintains her weight and balance just fine, and still likes to help out other canines in the community now and doing their errands - but just that.
brandy currently stays about the city, looking constantly for matthew and doing others' work.

-brandy despises male dogs. having many bad experiences on her work force with lustful, aggressive, arrogant, or lazy dogs who were mainly males, they have left a horrible taste in her mouth and she is considerably dismissive towards them. if you happen to be a male dog that isn't a pup or elderly that she happens to like, consider yourself very lucky. a part of this reason is because of the glory-stealing ranger, who rose to the top, despite brandy's harder efforts to succeed. the two do not get along.

-brandy is homoromantic/homosexual. she's also monogamous.
-brandy has no idea how to talk with other dogs, so she tends to keep contact short or sticking to topics that are brought up by the other.
-brandy feels it's her fault that matthew hasn't returned and dwells on this an unhealthy amount.
-brandy suffers from hip dysplasia in later years.
