Being the embodiment of "bad luck" comes with a lot of downsides. After all, everyone around you will be affected by your terrible luck. But Salem doesn't seem to mind. In fact, it quite enjoys being able to do all this! It just makes it easier to do their favorite thing in the world: antagonize others!
Salem enjoys making little pranks on others. Most of the time it’s harmless, but sometimes things can go... a little too far, and end up hurting someone else either physically or emotionally. It pretends not to care though. I mean, maybe the other person just needs to toughen up!

- Their favorite types of pranks to pull are jumpscare-themed ones. The victim's shocked expression is its favorite thing!
- It easily gets distracted by shiny things. Especially rocks. They have a mini collection of rocks it likes.
- When caught in a pickle, Salem's first instinct will be to bite the other person invovled and run away.
There's no person more sick of Salem than Astra. Astra will always be the first to tell of Salem when something goes awry, but Salem will just keep going... especially if it makes Astra upset. What's with that look? I didn't say their relationship was nice.
Someone who has a strong moral compass like Tulip typically annoys Salem to death, but apparently these two get along better than anyone else. They often go around commiting minor acts of tomfoolery and other general silliness. Sometimes, it's good to be bad!
An easy target for Salem is that of Danger. He gets easily spooked, is super gullible, and makes the funniest shrieks! Although beyond that, Salem doesn't really care for Danger. All they care about is getting a good laugh!
... But of course, Salem often finds their plans put on hold due to the likes of Winters. Apparently, she doesn't like the way it goes about scaring Danger. Although Winters is just as much of a scaredy-cat as her brother... so Salem already has something new in mind!
Good luck and bad luck. Salem had wondered why their bad luck seemed to be weakened here... apparently the existence of Raiden happened to explain that. Despite this little annoyance, Salem cares very little about Raiden... perhaps there's a mutual understanding between them.
Those who are not easily frightened are a bore to Salem. And Wynne is the embodiment of boredom. No matter what Salem does, Wynne barely reacts at all. What an absolute pain! And he has the gall to tell off Salem for trying to spook him!
After hearing Robin doesn't really believe in luck, Salem became determined to show Robin that it really does exist. Of course, due to Raiden existing it has to try a little harder to prove that. But don't worry, Salem always finds a way.
If there's one thing Salem cannot stand, it's authority. Any authority figure, even ones that aren't directly controlling our little prankster, is an enemy to Salem. Of course, this means that it will make that authority figure's life a living hell... whether the other person wants it or not.
