Poe's favorite food is oranges, but he enjoys most fruits, considering them delicacies. He also enjoys red meat, but he isn't picky about most foods as long as they aren't rotting.
At home or with a roof over his head, Poe likes the rain best, finding the sound of it relaxing. If he's sleeping under the stars or generally outside, Poe prefers overcast days. He doesn't really like extreme temperatures, although prefers being cold to being hot, but the best part of a cloudy sky? That you can't see the stars.

Life
Poe, born Taevas, was the third child of Virro of the Renth. Virro's previous two children, fraternal twins named Endrik and Loviise, were born to his first wife, Ulli, who died of illness, and Taevas' younger sibling, Sesilia, was born 11 years later to Virro's third wife, Varvaara. Taevas' own mother was left when he was very young, and he knows very little about her, not even her name. He never really learned why his mother left, but considering how much his family seemed to despise that he had been born as a tiefling, he's always assumed she was sent away or even possibly killed for having such a fiendish son. Although Virro couldn't keep his son's race a secret from his nation, he did ensure they would never see him, keeping him inside their home always, and away from public events.
Consequently, Taevas' childhood was very lonely. His father always ignored him at best, while his older siblings spent their childhood either pretending Taevas didn't exist, or bullying him--to the extent of locking him in closets "where monsters belong" for hours, trapping him under the bed, and even once breaking his hand. Most servants in the house avoided him completely if he could, and his caregivers wired his horns to keep them from growing too large. Taevas only had one friend, an older dragonborn who wasn't afraid of him and often regaled him with stories. When he wasn't available, Taevas spent his time in the library.
As Taevas got older, he couldn't take his loneliness anymore, and began sneaking out and spending time in the city. He got away with this with ease, because no one spent any time with him at home, and the public didn't know what the Renth's tiefling son looked like. As a fan of drama and reading plays, Taevas started attending performances, deciding that he wanted to pursue acting. As it turned out, no one in the city seemed interested in a tiefling actor, until he met an elf called Aroelor Arkenaeghymm.
