Rosie's Backstory:

Rosie was raised in the countryside of Atashia in a small humble village called Maysya. She lived there along with her older sister Buttercup and mother, who was a florist that ran a small flower shop there. Her mother along with her father had originally lived in the capital, but since the war broke out and their safety was uncertain, they had decided to move to the countryside. They fact that they had no other relatives and the fact they were commoners made the journey easier but it was still a very dangerous journey and her husband didn't make it. But even so, they live a peaceful life in Maysya now. Rosie doesn't have any recollection of her father, but was told he was a good man growing up. Rosie is a air-headed person, often getting lost in the woods while trying to collect flowers for the shop or accidentally breaking them. She usually dives head-first into basically anything she does based on instinct, speaking her mind, leading her do quite silly things, from sewing a handkerchief to her hair or burning cookies to crisp, it just seems she can't do anything correctly. Whatever the case, she always keeps a positive attitude and continues trying, being a ray of sunshine to anyone she meets. Buttercup and her mother would usually be the ones cleaning up her messes, though they never minded it. She's a stark contrast to her sister, Buttercup who is reserved, calculated, and shy but most importantly she has the skills in doing all housework which Rosie seems to lack. This sometimes makes her feel inferior to her sister, but they love eachother all the same. Appearance wise, she's quite different from her family, having light pink and light blue eyes unlike her sister's and mother's black hair and gold eyes, she assumes these features were from her unknown father but she didn't want to bring it up to her mother because it might upset her. Her looks also made her a target to scummy nobles who would offer a large sum of money in exchange for her hand in marriage or for her to become a concubine. She almost accepted some of these offers because she felt like a burden to her family but her family always reassures her and now knows to value herself and to not throw her life away for money. Being a florist's children, her sister and her had an interest in them, when Rosie got a cold during the winter time and they couldn't afford to get medicine, her mother advised Buttercup to use a certain herb to heal her and it worked wonders, from then on Buttercup became fixated on medicinal herbs and flowers, just not paying to mind what the looks or what the kind of plant it is as long as it has medicinal value, with the exception of roses of course. Rosie on the other hand just loved flowers of all kinds. She enjoyed making flower crowns and bouquets with all the different coloured and different shaped flowers, these were often given to other people as gifts and eventually got sold in the shop because they were popular. As they got older, Buttercup wanted to become a doctor to help other people in need aswell and to do that she will study at the prestigious academy in the capital. Rosie didn't have an ambition as strong as her sister's but was willing to go the capital aswell to be with her sister and to go out of her comfort zone. Their mother was against this at first considering their past but ultimately gave in under the conditions that they will go home during the holidays and would write her letters every month. When they first arrived there, they were starry-eyed at how different it was compared the small village they lived in. Although Rosie barely passed the entrance exams while Buttercup got flying colours, she'll always try her best, looking forward to her academy life and to see all the new flowers and plants in the capital that she's never seen before.
