[ HISTORY ]

• Jackal was raised in an orphanage, and from there went straight to the streets, using her musical ability to rustle up coin and charm onlookers. When that wasn't enough, she turned her talents to more criminal activities, drawing the attention of authorities who have attempted to catch her in the act, with little success. She also caught the eye of a local criminal gang, who absorbed her into their ranks and offered her both their protection and their services. Under their tutelage she was able to hone her musical ability and develop her magical ability, learning the ways of the bard. She's since moved on from petty criminal acts and set her eyes on bigger prizes, her desire for precious objects sending roaming from town to town. 
• Curse of Strahd: Jackal's adventure in Barovia began with an agreement between her and Arrigal - a Vistani working for Strahd - to inform on her newly-formed adventuring party in exchange for valuables and a presumably safe exit from the valley. She was given a magic journal in order to assist her and as they ventured into Barovia proper, dutifully recorded anything and everything that she found out about her travelling companions, thinking nothing of it. As she grew to know her party better, forming a steadfast bond throughout the dangers they encountered, she found herself beginning to question her actions - her outlook in life had mostly been centred around herself and her best interests up until then, but soon she found herself growing fond of the loveable band of misfits fighting through the vampire-infested region. When she and her companions were asked to escort Ireena Kolyana to safety outside of Strahd's influence is when she truly began to realise the gravity of her actions. Falling quickly for the strong-willed woman, Jackal decided to abandon her job as an double-agent and dedicates herself fully to ensuring Ireena's safety, supporting her party and finding a way to escape Barovia and destroy Strahd. Unfortunately her poor decisions catch up with her, Arrigal eventually tracking them down, assaulting the party and ousting Jackal with his dying breath. Suddenly treated with disdain and mistrust, she sets her sights on regaining the goodwill of her party (and Ireena) and proving to them all that while she may be miscreant, she is now committed to the party wholeheartedly. After a number of life-or-death situations, trekking through Barovia and attempting to leave places better than they found it, the party managed to defeat Strahd, rescue Ireena (who was captured) and lift the curse shadowing the valley of Barovia. Most importantly, Jackal managed to prove herself to the other members of her party, even going so far as to be considered friends. After the events of Strahd, the party goes its seperate ways, but with the promise that should anyone ever need assistance, they need only call and it will be answered.
