It's Kitschy!
A young demon who eats fear, Kitschy is about on the tier of an 'imp'. She is a horse-like devil, of a type known for their hooves and the bridles that mark them as subservient to higher-ranking demons. She physically and mentally seems to be about 25, but she's actually 78- quite young for a demon! Her powers are very limited due to her status as a low-rank devil. She thrives off of the fear of others and can detect it from long distances. When she is near someone who is afraid, she consumes the emotion, causing them to be temporarily fearless. The more fear she has consumed in a given time period, the more energetic she feels and the more abilities she is able to use. Unfortunately for her, none of these abilities are particularly wondrous, but she enjoys messing around with them.

  • At 20% fullness, Kitschy is able to create shadow creatures. They are fully animated by her and not sentient on their own. These can be used as easy sources of fear to disturb others, and she particularly enjoys making things like large spiders. The shadow creatures dissipate into shadowy 'smoke' once she's done with them, or when touched.
  • At 50% fullness, Kitschy can create perceptual disturbances that cause minor effects to a given sense. For sight, she can make someone's vision wobble and distort, or darken. For smell, she can make someone detect just about any scent. For auditory hallucinations, she doesn't have the ability to create voices, but can make strange and unearthly sounds that appear to have come straight from hell, thumps, or the sound of small objects moving and rustling. For taste, she can only create a metallic, blood-like flavor. She can use these on multiple people at a time within a small radius.
  • At 90% fullness, a black halo radiates behind Kitschy's head. She can turn it off at will, but she thinks it's pretty.
  • At 100% fullness, Kitschy can teleport distances of roughly 1.6 miles. (She can always teleport back and forth from the infernal realm at will, regardless of fullness.)
  • Other than these, she has the ability to detect demonic, angelic, and other magical residues. This means that she can tell at once whether someone is a demon or angel, but anything else is quite fuzzy- she can just tell that a being has a supernatural aspect, and maybe get some kind of vibe from it.

In terms of personality, Kitschy is an erratic and bizarre individual, but generally harmless. She speaks very quickly and with great excitement, and is genuinely interested in other people and what they have to say. She eagerly seeks out new experiences, such as new foods, places to visit, activities, or new friends. While she sometimes finds it hard to find companionship due to her appearance and temperament, this doesn't seem to dissuade her- she knows quite well that there are nearly 8 billion people on this planet, so statistically, someone's gotta like her. She doesn't feel bad about having to frighten people to sustain herself. In her eyes, it's harmless, since she isn't physically hurting anyone or causing major trauma. It isn't easy to cause her offense, but she's so direct and tactless that those around her can't necessarily say the same.

Trivia:

  • Kitschy is obsessed with boy bands as well as young heartthrob singers that generally appeal to teenagers.
  • She loves anything that's pink, glittery, and girly!
  • Kitschy's true name is only understood in the demonic tongue, and cannot be spoken by humans. She chose the name 'Kitschy' because she thought it sounded cute, and found the meaning to be charming.
  • She is often found seeing horror movies at the theater, for obvious reasons. Easy food! However, because her consumption of fear negates the emotion, those who see the movie at the same time as her tend to feel like it wasn't so scary after all, and leave disappointed.
  • Kitschy's pupils and irises are pure black. They don't reflect light/have eyeshine at all.
  • She has an unfortunate habit of babbling about things that people already know. Actually, she just has an unfortunate habit of babbling.
