Élodie Clairmont, affectionately called Melody for her passion for singing, was a woman brought into this world in the lattermost years of the 18th century.
Her mortal life had been defined by tragedy. From her trials with infertility to her end beneath the guillotine for the manslaughter of her abusive husband.
and yet, in spite of all that, melody has a disposition that is as mild as milk. Others take their own perspective to heart: her sweet nature is a sign of weakness. even though she re-awoke as a demon, she labours to remain pleasant and gentle as she navigates the afterlife.
she is a light hearted, curious, even-spirited individual who is not easily shaken from her course by the pitfalls before her.
she is also an undeniably familial person. Despite her infertility in her mortal life, she is technically the progenitor of eutony, whose paternal figure was a demonic scourge who had offered melody a chance at having a family through otherworldly means.
Later on, he would tragically be slain in a war of territorial conquest, and melody would continue to raise his heir on her own.
now, with eutony fully grown and reclusive in nature, melody wanders the Earth; Infeko and mortal world alike, to ease her heart of solitude. Her visits to the mortal world often feature her wearing a long, black mourning veil over her head to cover her features. This decision on her part, which is mostly driven by shyness, is often counterproductive, having the unintended effect of unnerving others more than they would be were she not wearing the veil.
