- HE HAS SEEN THE HORRORS. well actually i guess he hasn’t SEEN them. he’s still a silly goofy guy tho. just constantly with some existential dread back in his brain. it’s fine he’ll be Alright. probably

- okay into actual lore now. i simply don’t have the energy 2 give him a bio that isn’t separated into bulletpoints like the rest of my shifters have at this moment. maybe later funky man

- he’s a land-breathing shifter, most of his parts [9 remnants] are from regular shifters but he’s got quite a few deep sea parts [5 remnants] and he has the mind of someone who was once a deep sea shifter [also 1 spooky remnant but that doesn’t rlly come in at all]

- in its past before being revived as an ancient shifter, it lived in a water-breathing clan of deep sea shifters and was a knight of sorts, leading to its death as a teenager. being essentially a child soldier and remembering its death after being revived is kinda understandably traumatic for it !!

- it’s never had eyes so it’s pretty used to not being able to see

- currently lives in a lab. he has for his whole time being revived now. he’s been re-alive for a while now so he’s aged to about 24

- his boyfriend, jasper, was a lab assistant for a while, though they didn’t always work there and van started seeing them around when he was about 22 [mentally and somewhere around there in terms of his revived body] however jasper’s status as a lab assistant is, uh. definitely past tense. this does NOT stop them from breaking in still to see van. they have been forcibly removed from the premises at least twice now. can’t stop the gay shrimps i guess.
