Shadow

Shadow is a nightmare creature sometimes used as Mur's companion. He usually takes the form of a huge black dog, looks like a scottish deerhound-mix with a robust but athletic build, occasionally has a greenish tint. He is also, however, a huge smoky/shadowy shape vaguely resembling a dog that seems to grow taller than anything looking at him with white eyes, white teeth and a voice coming from all places at once in different tones.

Is also sometimes just used as a huge and intelligent, but regular dog.
