The area where Radimur live has long been a radioactive hotspot due to buried deposits of radioactive material. Radimur thrive in this ecosystem, but rarely evolve due to there not being enough Pokemon to battle in the area to level up.
Because Radimur live so near radioactive areas, many normal folk are concerned that they themselves are radioactive. This is not the case; the most dangerous thing about a Radimur is how mischievous and conniving they are.
