Drakgor

A kobold who hatched on the eve of a great hero's demise. His clan believed him to be the reincarnation of the hero, and treated him as such.

He was taken from the communal hatchery, and assigned a constantly rotating staff of Kobolds to care for him.

He grew up never wanting for anything, but always yearning for something else. He was trained in combat, taught to read and write (A rarity for his clan), and given many opportunities a kobold rarely has access to.

Later in his life, his clan was put in danger by Gnolls encroaching on the territory he called home. He and other fighters were sent to battle. The clan believed victory was ensured by the reincarnated hero's presence.

The belief was ill-founded, though, and nearly every Kobold sent was felled in battle.

Drakgor, however, survived. Just barely.

The kobold, never wanting to fight in the first place, fled.

He knows not what became of this clan, nor do they know what became of him. Most agree that he was likely among the fallen, but a small sect hold the belief that the reincarnated hero escaped and wanders the world still.

Perhaps they'd prefer him dead if only they knew what he spent his time doing now- His sword traded in for ale bottles and the company of tavern goers. The sound of steel and iron clashing replaced with the sweet tune of a lute.
