Fae/Vampire sorta creature??? is a low ranking prince who lives alone in what is basically exile. His family generally doesn't acknowlage him, but does ensure he can live a comfortable life as long as he is quiet abt his existance so they can pretend he never existed. They do this because he is an illigitmate child and his existnace would ruin the royal family's image, but by the times they found out he had already been hatched and no one really wanted to kill a small child.
For the most part his skin is made up of smooth, slightly wet scales, and the dark parts of his bark are a similar to a beetle shell. The red and white fins are very soft and fragile, similar to fish fins or butterfly wings.
Aesop can also shapeshift into a humanoid form, but still retains many of his features or similarites to them in his clothing.
