Maya

Maya is a small girl with a big imagination. Maya is Oliver's childhood friend, and has been with him through thick and thin. She is a Chuunibiyou who believes herself to be an angel sent to protect Oliver. She got the idea  of being a Chuunibyou from watching an anime (with Oliver) about a magical angel girl with heterochromia, and believed her heterochromia must give her special powers too.

"You should probably head home now, it's getting kinda late don't you think?" Maya's friend said, after turning off the television.

"Awh! But I wanna watch more!" Maya exclaimed, jumping up and down, waving her hands around in frustration. "It's getting sooo good!" She was talking about the anime they had been watching, "Angel Princess Kumi"

"Later, alright?" Her friend ruffled her hair.

Maya huffed and nodded, gathering her things and saying goodbyes. She kept thinking about the show on her walk. What is it that makes it so good? Why does she like the main character so much?

On her way to bed after returning home and eating dinner she realized.

The eyes.

BLUERASBERRY: hey

XxKawaii-CatxX-OWO:hai! ^w^ whats up

BLUERASBERRY:i um. have something to tell you.

XxKawaii-CatxX-OWO: !!

XxKawaii-CatxX-OWO: what is it!!

XxKawaii-CatxX-OWO: i have smthn 2 tell chu 2 :3

BLUERASBERRY: id rather tell u irl 

BLUERASBERRY: if thats okay

XxKawaii-CatxX-OWO: aw DX

XxKawaii-CatxX-OWO: fine! but chu have 2 wait 2

Maya arrived at school the next morning, awaiting her friend after the messages she recieved.

"Aha!" Maya shouted as she spotted her friend, grabbing them by the hand and running to a tree not too far from where they were, but away from many people.

"What did you wanna tell me!" She was bouncing up and down again, this time in excitement. "I have a lot to tell you!"

"I-I'm.. Maya we're friends right? Best friends?"

" Of course! BFFNES!"

"You wouldn't judge me for anything?"

Maya nodded.

"I..I'm a boy."

Maya cocked her head in confusion. Her friend was blushing.

"I've never felt comfortable living as a girl. I've felt this way for a long time, sorry for only telling you now.Do you think you could call me Oliver?"

The two had been friends since preschool, ever since Maya broke one of her crayons in frustration then started crying. Oliver graciously let her have one of his.

Maya lit up, much to Oliver's confusion. This was definitely not a reaction he expected. Happy maybe, but overjoyed?

"IT ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!"

Oliver stood there confused like Maya had been a couple minutes ago. He thought maybe she was talking about the way he had acted in the past. But oh, was he wrong.

"Okay okay okay okay okay" Maya said shaking her hands, "It came to me in a dream.. I'm an ANGEL! Like Kumi see? My eyes ! I cant believe it took me so long to realize! Look at my powers I was practicing them this morning" Maya made strange movements with her hands and nothing happened.

"Ah yea I see." Oliver replied. He knew how his friend was and indulged her. "What does this have to do with my gender?"

"I was sent to Earth to protect a prince.. and that prince must be YOU!"

Their conversation continued, both going on about their own news.

Later during that day, Oliver saw his crush in the hall, began looking  at him and blushing.

"Ah, so that must be the King." Maya Smiled Slyly.
