Jacques F. Lapin

From a young age, Jacques was a born performer. Although they studied well to learn their family's merchant trade, Jacques never really took to sales or business. Instead, they spent their free time away from lessons fencing and generally playing the clown to amuse their various siblings and cousins. Once they were old enoug to leave the nest, they took the opportunity and ran, taking one of the family's merchant vessels to go see the world.

Jacques' charisma and wit quickly lead them to high places working as a duelist for hire. Along the way, they met the Vulpe sorcerer and entertainer Saeval, and the two of them quickly became good friends and business associates. Jacques had the flashy skills with the sword, Saeval had the chaotic and colorful art of magic on his side, and together they made a tidy sum performing and working as blades for hire. For the most part, the pair made friends, but one day Jacques crossed someone who would not look so kindly on Jacques for the humiliation suffered at their blade and wit-- the Sun Vulpe Lord Saberos. Saberos swore vengence on Jacques for beating him in a duel, and will stop at nothing to see Jacques' head in a basket.

Hoping to take the heat off their tail and see some new sights, Jacques came to the central continent for the coronation of King Noah Crestide, bringing with them their trusty right-hand man Saeval, a Dragonborn scholar named Sert, and an Anubis cleric named Joba. Complications quickly arose, however, after the coronation was interrupted by the theft of the crown. After a series of misadventures, the crown came into the posession of Jacques and company, who wish to return it to the king but fear it may have been tampered with. There's also the shadow of other powers hanging over the young king set to take the thrown, and the Undercity has been plagued with abductions and Vulpes being sacrificed to a strange mirror... It's a rough time to be an adventurer in this town, and Jacques wouldn't have it any other way!
