Oliver is the son of the Sheriff of Austin. He has made his way quickly to the police deputy position thanks to nepotism, but is also quite good at his job. Behind closed doors though, he can be sarcastic and dry. He carries bitterness for his father and career and finds his fellow lawmen distasteful and crass.
