• the boardwalk is rendered veritably swampy in atmosphere from its broken down fog machines
• stricken by a mysterious fish-plague, he is nature's response to all their rumors and witch hunts
• fulfilling the role of boogeyman, their shadowy body can expand & contract into cracks & alleys
• aiding in their performance of magic, or "miracles" in this land, is their canesaw and lure-lantern.
• the boardwalk, european in design but indistinct in time period, comes with a clock theme to boot.
• likewise, the witch haunts this fairy-tale world with "pop-up book" rose, skyline, and starlight motifs.
