Marie is a 14yo meister student at DWMA, specifically in the N.O.T. program. Her partner--whom she already considers her best friend on day 1-- is Kari Ritter. 

She’s from a prestigious family but has been sickly ever since she was born. Her folks really didn’t even want her attending but relented to have more control and stipulations over her. There’s even cases of bribery to make her scores worse, to try and discourage her enough to come home.

Despite that, her dream is to become an ambassador because they both help people as well as see the world. Currently, Marie has a crapton of hobbies that she can do indoors (ranging from reading multiple languages to cat-cradle to embroidery) since she was always sequestered away inside. Though her absolute favorite thing is to explore outside, whether it’s topography to culture. She even collects postcards! Mostly where her parents have been.

Due to poor circulation, she usually wears multiple layers and so the scorching desert of Death Valley, Arizona doesn’t bother her as much as most. Also hidden beneath those layers is a pair of emergency medical bracelets but Marie hides them away alongside her insecurities they harbor.

Personality-wise she's a curious, hardworking, and determined individual but that quickly devolves into stubborn irritation when folks dismiss her and/or tell her what she can’t do (which is often, sadly).  

Essentially, she was a character I created to explore the concept of a meister who has a weak body instead of a weak mind, since that topic wasn’t covered as much compared to mental health. This design is 8yo and was only recently revamped by the generous twilitseas and so I'm quite excited to learn more about Miss Ledger!
