Mavdos Rogue

Mavdos was born into the Mars family, the leading family of The Syndicate, as an only child. From a very young age, it was instilled in Mavdos that he would one day become the leader of The Syndicate. His father, Andadius Mars, was an overly strict ruler and father, ruling over both The Syndicate and the Mars family with an iron fist. At any sign of disobedience from Mavdos resulted in getting whipped with the Whip of Proximity, often times also resulting in getting hit with Booming Blade or Inflict Wounds. Mavdos met Dacria when he was twenty and not long after that, his son Brykas was born. His father died a little bit after Brykas was born, so Mavdos became the head of The Syndicate. After Belamaya was born, Mavdos unconsciously distanced himself away from his family in fear he would become like his father. This along with a combination of other events, the breaking point being when Mavdos shot one of his own employees in front of Brykas, drove Brykas to run away from home, telling his father he was a terrible parent before he left.

After Brykas Left

Within the month Brykas left, Mavdos made a pact with a forgetten god: the terms being that if he broke the pact, the god would have his soul. Mavdos was able to keep everything under control for nearly two decades. But in his later years, the god started taking control of Mavdos's mind unwillingly. Mavdos started distancing himself even more so that his daughter and wife wouldn't notice, or worse, get hurt. On June 8th, 1491, Mavdos wrote a letter to each individual member of his family including Brykas. In Brykas's letter, he explains why he made the pact and how the god was slowly consuming his mind. That night was the last night Mavdos was in control of his own body until Brykas and his party visited Endenpool to keep themselves hidden from the Winlon Police Department. After Brykas and his party fought the god in Mavdos's body and broke the physical aspect of his pact, which were tattoos that crawled all the way up his arms, Mavdos was able to gain control of his body one last time before the god finally took his soul and Mavdos passed away.
