Aemond Targyn's Links
Zarbon is Aemond's demolition man and one of his fighters in his pirate crew. Aemond knows to temper Zarbon's eagerness to use explosives in any situation, regardless of if safe to do so.
Aemond is Zarbon's pirate captain. Zarbon is fiercely loyal to his captain and will do whatever he asks.
Pejila is part of Aemond's pirate crew as his cook. He prefers her to not be involved in fighting at all, as she has a very gentle nature.
Aemond is the captain of the pirate crew Pejila works for. She is loyal to him and grateful for him giving her a second chance at life.
Gemima's an old acquaintance, they've run into each other many times in the past back when she was a pirate captain herself. Despite her departure from sealife into politics, they still keep in touch to get together when he's on shore leave and reminisce about old times. If Aemond's thoughts amounted to any weight in the political sphere, then he'd recommend her highly for head of the Senate. Rough around the edges as she appears, he believes she is far better at helping others through the laws than against them.
Aemond's an old acquaintance, they've run into each other many times in the past back when she was a pirate captain herself. Despite her departure from sealife into politics, they still keep in touch to get together when he's on shore leave and reminisce about old times. She is still both mildly frustrated and amused that Aemond thinks she's better at being a senator than ever a pirate. The ins and outs of everything behind the scenes is horrid to her, yet Aemond tells her she's the best at it? He always was an odd duck, if his all-greenblood crew didn't give that away to her first, but praising her for a job she doesn't take seriously at all takes the cake.
Questa is an old pitch-tinged flame from back in their school days. It seemed as though they were fated to be kismeses together, but after graduation, they took vastly different life paths and have since drifted far apart. He'll see her name pop up on cargo in ships he captures from time to time, which gets a short bout of wistfully thinking of old times from Aemond.
Aemond's an old kismesis fling from back in Questa's school days. They were intensely involved together, but after they graduated into the Empress's service, they parted ways. She had scoffed at the idea of the bookish Aemond becoming an all-out pirate, but nowadays she'll occasionally find her cargo's been stolen by a pirate crew commandeered by one who appears to be her old kismesis. Rumors like that end up making her wonder if she'd been targeted. If it's him then does he still remember her, does he still hold pitch feelings for her, etc.
Riftix is an old acquaintance from back in the days when Riftix was a notorious pirate captain himself. Like Gemima, he's since gone on into the odd job of politics. Unlike their fellow ex-pirate captain compatriot, however, it's something Aemond is quite sure Riftix is unsuited for. He feels Riftix was always too brash and headstrong for anything else than the seven Alternian seas, and was quite shocked to find him not only deciding to be a senator, but becoming elected as well.
Aemond's an old acquaintance, they've run into each other many times in the past back when Riftix was one of the most notorious pirate captains in Alternia. They still keep in touch to get together with Gemima Minrin when Aemond's on shore leave and reminisce about old times. He's actually proud of his younger former rival for stepping up to the challenge of captaining his crew more prominently and gaining more notoriety for himself.
Valinn is someone Aemond is actively courting to try and recruit for his crew. Even though he keeps being rebuffed, he feels she would be a great addition if she would make an effort- she can be a very competent fighter if she tries.
Aemond keeps coming around every so often and pestering her to join his pirate crew. Why, just because he wants midbloods, and she's olive? Weird. Anyways, she'd rather get high and relax than have to fight for scraps. Sure, she wants to fight over at Moktus's place, but that's because she WANTS to at that time, not because she HAS to.
Chevau is one of the pirates of Aemond's pirate crew, one of the Topmen with the rigging. Her sweet looks belie a fierce fighter, and Aemond knows this well.
Aemond is the captain of the pirate crew she works with. She is very loyal to him and looks up to him for his leadership and graciousness.
Dyomar is the navigator of his pirate crew. Many captains would have dismissed the oliveblood for not having a cutthroat-enough attitude, but Aemond values his attention to detail and superior charting skills.
Aemond is the captain of his pirate crew. Dyomar really likes his captain's genuine care for the crew, and in return, Dyomar will do anything for the ceruleanblood.
Gajien is a seaman and cargo specialist, one of the pirates of Aemond's pirate crew. Aemond knows if he asks Gajien to take care of special cargo, no matter how complicated the instructions, that the oliveblood will do it and take care of it all.
Aemond is the captain of his pirate crew. Gajien is awed by the amount of trust Aemond places in him to get things secured and situated in the cargo, enough so that he promoted Gajien to one of the ship's mates on only his second year aboard. Gajien hates to feel as though he's let down Aemond in any way, so he puts his full effort into making sure the ship has everything at hand at all times.
Ubaenx is the Chief Steward in Aemond's pirate crew, working to help coordinate the crew's quarters. Aemond feels a camraderie with the older oliveblood, as he was the one who helped mentor Aemond once he stepped into the pirate way of life. When he was captured by pirates, it was Ubaenx who took him aside and set him up as his apprentice. Aemond was so moved by him risking his life for a stranger- a captive, no less- that Aemond vowed to reward him generously somehow when he'd become a full pirate. He remains deeply grateful for all his older mentor's help.
Aemond is the captain of the pirate crew, and Ubaenx can remember back to when the young cerulean first stepped aboard a pirate ship; young, nerdy and inexperienced, yet highly intelligent and definitely booksmart about sailing. Ubaenx was in a different crew back then, and Aemond was just a wriggler who was a captive at the time, yet wanted to join the crew as a wide-eyed recruit. Ubaenx was drawn to mentoring the young troll, and he's quite proud of just how far his charge has come to becoming a successful captain of his own crew!
Zaelya is part of my pirates, the Bosun who supervises the deck crew. She's quite the fierce fighter in her own right as well, so I know she can handle things. She keeps my ship in good order, I have no doubt.
Aemond's my cap'n! I'll follow 'im to the ends of Alternia! 'e's so cool, ain't 'e?
Enyaba is the Purser of Aemond's crew, one of the stewards of his greenblood pirates. Despite some of Enyaba's stranger habits and outside connections with bizarre character such as the enigmatic "J", Aemond trusts Enyaba implicitly, as nothing bad has befallen the crew thus far.
Aemond is the captain of the all-greenblood pirate crew Enyaba belongs to. Despite the whispers of the crew behind her back, Aemond has placed firm faith in her, a boon she intends to give back in full for his kindness. She always makes sure the crew has plenty of wonderful food to eat and loads of good alcohol thanks to J's job and many connections.
Ginger is one of the elite corsairs Aemond has aboard his crew, the Gunner officer in charge of the boarding and raiding parties. Despite the jadeblood's standoffishness with many of the crew, Aemond's never had a problem with them and can communicate what he needs to with ease.
Aemond is the captain of the pirate crew they belong to. Ginger is always inspired by just how much Aemond knows of all parts of sailing and pirating, and they know they can ask the captain anything and expect to receive an honest, easy to understand answer.
Sawain's the helmsman of my crew. I know she can sail us through any weather with ease.
Aemond is my captain, I sail under his authority. He has complete trust in me, so I have complete trust in him.
J is related to Aemond's purser, Enyaba. Well, as far as he knows. They are quite the strange character, and everything about them is confusing to Aemond. They are quite friendly and more than willing to supply his crew for an amazing price, but Aemond can see why the rest of his crew could have misgivings about the two Gaiells. Secrets kept in plain sight and a superstitious crew don't mix, in Aemond's experience. Still, he trusts them and their intentions.
Aemond is the pirate captain who commands J's "sibling" Enyaba. He seems like a good boss for her, Enyaba certainly likes him very much, so J is more than happy with Aemond as well. Besides, it's great to see the success of a cobaltblood who relies on his brains rather than the usual skullduggery of his blueblood hued brethren. The more J can help him reign supreme on the Alternian seas for that alone, the better. Why? Just because it makes J feel happy!
Dadora is the matesprit of Zarbon Biirus, Aemond's demolitions expert. He always sees the large blueblood waiting nervously at the pier whenever the ship pulls in for shore leave. Goodness, the poor oaf turns into quite the mess whenever Zarbon's around. Highly undignified, in Aemond's opinion, but then again, he doubts the giant troll cares a bit about how he appears when around his matesprit.
Aemond is the captain of Zarbon's pirate crew. The one cerulean in a sea of olives and jades. Strangely serious-minded as well. Certainly gives Dadora enough odd looks whenever he sees him and Zarbon together. Well, Dadora feels the captain is equally an odd troll. Who's ever heard of a stoic Cerulean?
Hephus is part of the deck crew of Aemond's pirate crew. The oliveblood is a bit... "quirky" mentally, but no more so than ones like Zarbon or Gerion, right?
Aemond is the captain of the pirates Hephus is part of. Of all the cobaltbloods he's ever met, Aemond is the most guileless and open-minded. Better yet, he lets Hephus talk revolutionary ideas all he wants! Best captain EVER!
Gerion is the master gunner of his pirate crew. Aemond has placed him in charge of all cannons and munitions, using Gerion's weapons obsession in a productive way.
Aemond is Gerion's captain, as well as captain of a large greenblooded pirate crew that Gerion is a part of. Aemond placed him in charge of all the cannons and weapons caches on the ship. "Like placing a fox in charge of the henhouse." And yet Gerion finds himself being strangely soothed surrounded by his obsessions, able to concentrate on his work and any tasks just fine... The ceruleanblood must be a genius!
Melamn is a deckman and in charge of carpentry and repairs on Aemond's pirate ship. Despite their nervousness about doctor's exams and whatnot, Aemond considers them a good worker and an excellent repair specialist. Though, it IS odd that he won't even let Aemond inspect an injury if he gets a splinter or jams a claw...
Aemond is the captain of their pirate crew. He's a surprisingly kind Ceruleanblood, very serious-minded and unexpectedly well-learned. It's that kindness that ironically makes it HARDER for Melamn to work, as he insists on checking to see if he's okay if there's ever an injury. It's hard to trust anyone, even the captain, with their secret; Melamn has no idea what they would do if they ever found out.
Chelsi is part of the deck and boarding crews of Aemond's pirates. She's a punk catgirl with a soft side, as she'll often join Aemond in the evenings down in the hold for reading.
Aemond is the captain of their pirate crew. She was surprised on meeting him that he was a serious, fair-minded captain who cared deeply about his crew, compared to other seafaring ceruleans.
Wylsun's an old classmate of his back before his pirate days. He's only recently ran into him again after sweeps at J's main grocery store, and he hasn't changed a bit. Still the same overconfident egotist... Just how Aemond was back then. He's so glad that part of his life is behind him.
Aemond is an old classmate of Wylsun's. Last he'd seen, he'd figured the nerd would be hanging out in the imperial libraries after graduation, stuck at the hip to that indigo kismesis of his he was constantly hateflirting with... Instead, Wylsun walks into the biggest grocery store in the capital to find him dressed up as this badass pirate in a sea of greenblood pirate trolls! What the heck happened here? And he seems COOL, too?? Genuinely cool?!?
Yalena is part of his greenblood pirate crew. Despite her gruff looks, Aemond has found her to be a quite talented ship's doctor and surgeon. They'll often spend time in the evenings going over each crew member's medical files (or how to work around reluctance to be examined, such as with Melamn Dutube).
Aemond is the captain of their pirate crew. She doesn't like to interact with others much, but despite this, Aemond was willing to give her the chance to put her extensive medical skills to use. He's actually not that bad to be around, especially for a blueblood!
Saimon is part of his greenblood pirate crew. He's shy and narcoleptic, but he's such a good deckhand that even if he takes twice as long to get his part of the work done, Aemond knows that he'll do his tasks well.
Aemond is the captain of their pirate crew. Any other captain would have thrown him off the ship in a heartbeat just for his health issues alone, but this particular cerulean captain is an extremely unique case. Even when Zaelya chews him out for being too slow (rightfully so), Aemond is still willing to vouch for him over and over again! It's gestures like that which has endeared Saimon to his captain.
Rhubee is a FLARPer and waitress at an underground fighting ring. She's approached Aemond many times about wanting to join his crew, but Aemond has politely declined each time. He tell himself he does it to spare her from harm- FLARPing as a pirate is extremely different from doing it for real, after all- but if he's truly honest with himself, then Rhubee being a rustblood and not midblood plays a factor.
Aemond is a pirate captain Rhubee was introduced to when Yoliia left the arena to become one of his crew. She's always wanted to be an actual pirate instead of just FLARPing as one! He keeps declining her from joining his crew though, saying that she's not prepared for actual seafaring. She's not giving up though!
Yoliia is part of his greenblood pirate crew. She's the newest member, brought on as the star bruiser of the boarding group. Aemond is still trying to feel her out to try to place her with a compatible set of crewmates to work with, as she's already gained the ire of multiple people.
Aemond is the captain of their pirate crew. After joining the Greenbloods pirates, Yoliia's grouchy demeanor immediately drew animosity from many of the crew. Aemond was the only one sticking up for her and attempting to soothe over the hostilities. Well, he's the only reason she joined the crew anyways, so she's glad for that. He's a strange blueblood, but Yoliia can see why his crew reveres and respects him so much.
