Overview

The first seraph to fall and the only one to be rebirthed anew. Rahmiel makes her home in the Other World where she judges souls locked in eternal purgatory. Once she deems a soul has reached repentance she will free it to the other side where it can be reborn and begin again.

Some things you'll do for money and some you'll do for fun but the things you do for love are going to come back to you one by one

He's much more prone to stress than he lets on though and the buildup can lead to sudden eruptions of anger and restless energy. He prefers a tidy environment but these outbursts can lead to excessive cleaning and reorganizing.

She holds herself apart and keeps a tight lip on those inner workings. If she has something to say she'll say it but don't expect idle chatter or long-winded explanations. She may bring comfort and guidance to the lost souls around her but the more personal the connection the more closed off she becomes. If one pokes the right buttons you might set off an angry tirade that she'll feel embarrassed about later.

Showing affection

Actions speak louder than words, especially if Rahmiel feels any particular warmth or affection for those around him. He would never say such a thing in so many words but he may offer aid in a quest or task. Or maybe work to find a solution to a problem. Perhaps the person once mentioned wanting something that Rahmiel is perfectly capable of getting even if it's going to take some work. He may or may not awkwardly hang around in the background until these opportunities present themselves. Creation

Many believe Rahmiel's creation was for the sole purpose of proving redemption and forgiveness possible for even the fallen. Of course, not all the seraphim have forgotten Rahmiel's past so he may still have a point to prove if that were the case.

Rahmiel was gifted the sight of justice at creation and his task in the Symphony was to deliver divine wrath on those with dissent in their hearts. Rahmiel's arrows did not waver and did not miss as he descended on any fellow seraph seen doubting under the might of Eosphorus and Hesperus. Brutally efficient and always lethal, Rahmiel tore through the realms with a blood trail that never ceased.

Fall & Rebirth

  • Rahmiel was the first angel to fall, her powers and weapons stripped and her body cast down to the mortal plane
  • Eosphorus and Hesperus pulled Rahmiel back up when the seraph had learned justice and redemption from the everyday lives of mortals
  • At Rahmiel's request, Eosphorus and Hesperus created the Other World, a purgatory for souls still looking for redemption

Upon realizing their gift was being misconstrued far beyond what they intended, Eosphorus and Hesperus rained down upon Rahmiel with a force never seen before by the watching seraphim. Their brother's wings were stripped, their arrows shattered, and the sight of justice was left to fall to the mortal world alone and empty.

It was there Rahmiel lay, still as the dirt she fell to. Deaf to the Symphony, blind to all but what lay right in front of her, stripped of her powers and weapons and all that made her a vessel to the Symphony. It was there she listened and watched, forced to consume the sights and sounds of mortal souls. The silly squabbles and good-natured banters. The kindness of small actions in day to day life. The nuances of good and bad. Right and wrong.

Eosphorus and Hesperus pulled Rahmiel from the ground and back into the embrace of the Symphony. Her wings were remolded and arrows reworked. No longer a weapon of judgment but a prayer for justice. With her first words Rahmiel begged the pair of deities to create a new realm. A realm for spirits who were in that morally gray, who still needed time to earn their redemption. Eosphorus and Hesperus granted Rahmiel's wish and it is there that Rahmiel made her grounds.

Rahmiel spends most of his time in the Other World, guiding souls in need of redemption and freeing the spirits of those who have found it. He occasionally visits the mortal world and reimmerses himself in the wonders that Eosphorus and Hesperus created but he never stays long.

Shorter still does he ever visit the Upper Plane where the other seraphim make their homes. Rahmiel's presence is usually a tersely accepted one at best. No seraph would dare defy the will of their deities but behind closed doors perhaps Eosphorus and Hesperus made a mistake granting forgiveness to a fallen one soaked in the blood of sprites and seraphim alike.The archer is no fool and cares little for the tense smiles and stiff postures of the others. His job lays far away from the Upper Plane anyway, there's rarely a need to visit.

The element born in Rahmiel at her creation. She has the ability to remove all light from the surrounding area and does so when passing judgement on an atoned soul. Rahmiel rarely uses such a tactic for battle but has no qualms with flashes of light to blind opponents in order to create distance.

Rahmiel has more than proven how deadly her aim is. Nowadays she exclusively uses her arrows for the ceremonial passage of freeing a soul to the next world but her siblings have not forgotten the blood that soaks the shafts and neither has Rahmiel.

Rahmiel keeps his distance from all the fallen seraphim who've made their homes in the Other World. It's less disdain for their following of Eosphorus and more uncertainty on whether they're friend or foe. Byrrumel in particular is a seraph Rahmiel has never liked, finding her too impulsive and hot-headed. But she's also painfully earnest and Rahmiel feels pity in his certainty that Byrrumel knew nothing of Eosphorus' plans.
