A young canine on her own with her little sister in the streets of "the city of dogs". Leilani is highly protective of her half sister but also very inexpirienced in taking care of her. She is somewhat untrusting but in desperate need of help. Born into a lower ranking family, leilani was exposed to harmful chemicals and dangerous living environments. Both progressed a previous illness and lead to the loss of one of her front legs. In order to keep her alive- her single mother sent her to one of the progressive labs run by the higher ups. in return for her "new" leg- the scientists would be able to practice their prototype technology. Her survival was not guarenteed but she was able to push through recovery stronger then she was before.
