Overview
Baskara, originating from Indonesia, meaning 'sun' or 'maker of light'.
Born into an area that values family, nature, and the wellness of the planet, Baskara has a strong fighter's spirit. He embodies bravery and honor, always striving to do what's right and just. He is one of Cosmo Canyon's youngest warriors, having learned native battling styles as well as considerable amounts of knowledge of space and spirituality. It's rumored that Baskara's family line somehow ties to the great Bugenhagen.
While my voice may shake, my hands may clench, know this one thing. Courage is standing strong, protecting the ones you love. If you want at them, you're gonna have to go through me!

Demeanor
Baskara is a fidgety person. He likes to keep his hands busy with something, as it sometimes helps him keep calm. He also sometimes hums when he's anxious or overwhelmed, as a means to recenter himself. One of his biggest habits is offering words of reassurance or support.
Baskara's communication skills are quite finely tuned. Growing up with the influence of Bugenhagen, he learned to both speak and listen. He was taught to be honest and speak with purpose. He offers compassion and kindness with his words, preferring to spread light with the things he says, over putting out negative or dark things. This is not to say that he is all positive messages; sometimes honesty also means saying the things that others can't bare to speak.
Much like his dear friend Tesni, Baskara is quite fond of showcasing and receiving affection. He shows affection with words of affirmation and gifts; finding both of these things to be crucial in showing appreciation for those he cares about. He's happy to deliver hugs to those who enjoy them, or hold people to comfort them. Contact with others is a form of communication for him, as sometimes actions speak louder than words.

- Baskara's eyes are an orange-brown color. His face is rounded, but slim, with higher cheekbones. He also has a soft dusting of freckles across his cheeks and nose
- He has a tiny scar behind his left ear, and his left ear is pierced twice (both lobe).
- Baskara has a falcon feather tattooed on his left upper arm.
- He also has a tribal dragon that runs down the right side of his ribs, to his hip.

Born to a medicine brewer and a weapons crafter, Baskara has always had creative blood in his body. A fast learner, he had a fascination with books and working with his hands. His mother Cliantha taught him early on how to identify many herbs and plants that would help craft medicinal items to help heal others, while his father Herak would teach him how to create tools for hunting and crafting. Under the tutelage of Bugenhagen, a rumored family member of the Tuari family, Baskara learned how to read the stars as roadmaps to the right paths in life, as well as what his purpose was.
In his pre-teen years, Baskara picked up leather crafting as a hobby, and self-taught himself how to make clothing from the remains of creatures that were hunted. One of the many things instilled in his mind, was to never let materials go to waste, and always do what you could to ensure that each spirit or existence would return to the planet.
Early Teens
- Baskara met Tesni and Runa when he was 15.
- He joined Avalanche at 16--making him the youngest member to join to date.
- Both of the tattoos that Baskara has, he got when he turned 17; they were meant to represent freedom and strength.
By the time Baskara was 14 years old, he was confidently making clothing and tiny trinkets. His trinkets became popular with folks who came into Cosmo Canyon while passing through. He had an affinity for carving wild cats from wood, and sometimes would garner the attention of travelers as he sat outside his family home and worked away quietly. Sometimes he would tell stories to the children that came into the canyon with their families. At one point, a group of folks came through on their way to a Mako reactor. Baskara was 15 years old when he first met Tesni Albright and Runa Winterbloom.
At 15 years old, he would accompany the girls, as well as their comrades, to take down a reactor just outside of Gongaga. From then on, he would practically become inseperable from the girls, finding that his compassion and want to do the right thing for the planet matched their own passions. He would join Avalanche just after his 16th birthday, and begin to travel with the Avalanche crew.
Current Day
- Baskara sells trinkets and jewelery from time to time in a little stand outside of Seventh Heaven.
- His weapon was a gift from Tifa.
- Leviathan became his preferred summon after his want to get over his fear of deep water.
Residing now in Midgar in a small apartment a few doors down from Tesni, Baskara helps raise funds for paying the members of Avalanche that come on looking for a way to make ends meet. He helps Tifa with her cooking at Seventh Heaven, and spends some of his free time helping Tesni feed the stray cats of Midgar. He fights alongside his friends with the hopes of making the world a happier, safer, place.
Baskara's goal while working with Avalanche is to further learn his purpose in the grand spectrum of how the planet carries on. He has opted to help continue the fight with Avalanche, as well as to further expand the teachings he has received from Bugenhagen.

Thunder

Level 2 Mastery allows potency of Deadly Dodge to increase.
Leviathan
Invokes powerful Leviathan summon to assist user. Leviathan deals heavy non-elemental damage the enemy. The ultimate attack from Leviathan is called "Tidal Wave".
Tesni is like a big sister to Baskara. Their relationship is built on being compassionate, and small gift exchanges. The pair like sharing their cooking with one another, and Baskara has even sat down with Tesni to teach her how to make jewelery like they do in Cosmo Canyon.
He's quite protective of her, and loves to give her tiny hand-crafted wooden cat figures. They're his favorite thing to make for her.
Baskara and Runa's relationship is that of an older sister and a younger brother. They take turns picking on one another, and having a good time while doing it. He's told her several times in the past that she's the strangest person he's ever met, and she takes that with pride.
The pair together can be a bit mischievous, but overall, they're quite comfortable with one another. Baskara looks up to Runa's sharpness with awe, hoping to one day have the same steel spine that she has.
